Flashback

Mateo: 7

Ayleo:10

"Mom." Ayleo called standing at his parents doorway to their room.

Their father was sleeping and their mother was lighting a cigarette and watching tv.

"What." She said with a usual snotty attitude towards her children.

"Uhm could we perform dance at the school pep rally? The teacher told us to ask you." Ayleo asked looking down.

"Are we getting paid?" She asked.

"No." Ayleo said lowly.

"Then no." She said taking a hit and focusing her attention to the tv.

"Alright." He said and walked back to him and Teos room.

He was passing by Danielas room and he heard muffled sounds.

Her door was slightly open so he looked through to see Daniela silently crying and cutting herself.

Ayleo jumped by the touch of Mateo tapping him.

"What are you doi-" Mateo said but was cut off my Ayleo covering his mouth and shushing him.

Mateo looks up and him like was crazy.

Ayleo then covered Mateos eyes because he didn't want him to see what is happening.

Mateo tried to pry Ayos hands off.

"Stop and cooperate for just this time." Ayleo whispered.

Mateo stopped struggling and sighed.

Mateo sighed too loud because Daniela quickly threw the blade under her bed, and wrapped her blanket around her and she walked towards, and fully opened the door.

Ayleo looked up at Daniela and Mateo took Ayos hands off his eyes.

 and looked up at her too.

"Hey guys." Daniela said forcing a smile.

Ayleo got tears in his eyes and hugged Daniela.

Mateo just stood there dumbfounded.

Ayleo was silently crying on Daniela.

"Stop doing that please." Ayleo said between sobs.

Tears rushed down Daniela's face.

"Doing what leloo?" She asked. She tried to make it seem like nothing happened but she knew exactly what Ayo was talking about and that caused more tears to go down her face.

"Don't hurt yourself. Let out your sadness and anger by doing something that doesn't hurt yourself." Ayleo said hugging her tighter.

"Like eating." Mateo said joyfully trying to lighten the mood.

And it certainly did.

Daniela busted out laughing at Mateos comment.

"Teo weo your funny." She says pulling him into a hug.

Ayleo started laughing into the blankets.

Mateo started laughing too the the point where they were all laughing.

BANG! BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BAANG BANG BANG BANG!!!!!

Daniela pushed Ayo and Teo down with her.

"Crawl to my closet." She said to the boys panicking.

The boys quickly did as told.

There was then screams from their mother and yells from their father.
