Blessed evening, everyone. My name is Roy, son of Rolando Roberto, Sr., the second husband of the woman whose life we have commemorated in the past ten days, and that is no other than our beloved Dolores Taylor Hill Roberto, whom much of you know as Prof Dolly.

My stepmother passed away last month, January 1st, and it has not been easy for me and my foster child, Natasha. If you've been under the watch of my stepmother, you would know that she was never the nicest girl in town, neither did she grant the sweetest words; but despite, her thoughtfulness flowed through other different ways. Behind that fearsome mask was a tender heart with a hunger to educate—to give, give, give.

And we dearly miss her, and I know you all as well. You wouldn't be here if you don't. And I really have no idea what else to say, but thank you, most especially to those who shared their works with us. I hadn't expected this number of people to participate. I am beyond grateful to witness a crowd who cares for her. It means a lot. Thank you. Thank you very much for coming.
