" Mizuki? You dress yet?!" I called out, knocking at the door.

" Hang on!" she yelled back. I waited there for a moment, and sure enough the door opened.

" Are you sure you finished all of your work?" I asked her, coming into the room.

She sighed, and showed me everything.

" Aiko, you know I did it all." she said, smiling.

" Just making sure...anyway it's way past your bedtime!" I said, tickling her.

She started laughing and jumped onto the bed.

" Fine, fine..okay! I'll go to bed, if!"

I sighed, and looked at her. " If I sing with Esmeralda again? I don't think so.." I teased her.

She shook her head, and got into the covers. " If you sing to me." she smiled.

My eyes widen, and I walked up to her.

" Sing to you? Like a lullaby?" I asked, tucking her in.

" Yes!" she smiled. " You have a really good voice...and I remember when I was little...Mommy use to sing to me." she smiled.

" Why not now?" I asked, sitting by her feet on the bed.

She shrugged. " I don't know...guess I got to old for it.."

" I don't know..." I sighed, looking at the door.

" Please!!!!!" she began to beg me now.

" Alright, I'll sing...um what do you want me to sing?" I asked.

" I don't know, you chose...did your mom ever sing to you?" she asked.

My heart seemed to stop for a brief moment...at the orphanage Mrs. Hanuki didn't really sing to us...just cared for us....

"Um..."

" Oh, Aiko...I'm sorry..I-"

" No, it's okay..I know you forgot...um lemme think for a moment." I told her, and as I looked at the ground I tried to think for a moment.

Then it came to me....in a form of a woman's voice....it was soft, but very pretty song...

~We wandered off like children in the woods
And let the searchers come but never find us
Tried to make a life among the trees
While your dreams collected planes and cars and cities

~You slipped away from me while I was sleeping
To climb the tallest oak and see the lights
Your dissatisfaction gave you questions
Do you remember what the city sounded like?
Do you remember what the city sounded like?

~So stay up with me, don't fall asleep
Because we only have this moment once in our lives
And next time we'll meet under city lights
We're here tonight, so let's make it all it was meant to be

~So I held you but the call was from inside
And I knew I couldn't keep you if I tried
But I watched as the distance spread, as the shadows grew
And the longings came like wolves to devour you

~So stay up with me, don't fall asleep
Because we only have this moment once in our lives
And next time we'll meet under city lights
We're here tonight

~So stay up with me, don't fall asleep
Because we only have this moment once in our lives
And next time we'll meet under city lights
But we're here tonight, so let's make it all it was meant to be

~Let's make it all it was meant to be
Let's make it all it was meant to be

It wasn't long until my sister had dozed off. I chuckled a bit, and stood up.

" Sweet dreams, sis." I said, kissing her forehead.

I then turned to leave the room, but before I did. I turned around to see her resting fast asleep.

That song was one I hardly remember.....I'm not sure who sang it to me, but...it was comforting.

I then turned off the lights, and left to go to my room.
