I've been busy with school the last couple weeks, but I'm back to writing again. To start, the reader, who recently started dating Sam, decides to move into the Avengers facility full time, and she brings her dog with her. The dog initially does not seem to like Sam all that much. Some fluff, some drama, the usual.

"Okay, that should just about do it," you grunt as you haul the last of your things into the Avengers facility; it took about a week and a half, but you finally managed to take up full residency at the compound, seeing how you it would save time and money from completing missions back and forth.

"It wouldn't have taken you so long to move in if you let me lend a hand," your boyfriend Sam quips right next to you. "Sam, you should know by now I like to do things by myself," you tell him, "I don't like being a burden." "It wouldn't have been a burden at all," Sam assures then whispers, "I would've paid Barnes do all the heavy lifting." You chuckle a little at that statement. "What say we order a pizza to celebrate this momentous occasion?" you suggest. "I say you get to a phone while I go off searching for one of Tony's credit cards," Sam answers. "No need for Stark's credit cards; he keeps those under lock and key anyways; ever since Clint and Pietro used them to purchase that life size helicopter and flew it to Vegas. He does however keep a secret stash of cash somewhere in the vents," you reply. "I told you not to introduce him to Breaking Bad," Sam mock scolds making you laugh.

While Sam was fishing for the cash stash in the vents, you head back outside to bring your dog inside before heading to the lounge area and asking Friday to place in an order for pizza. Once Sam found the stash, he took the appropriate amount of money needed and found his way out of the vents. Once he made it to the lounge, he notices some fellow Avengers were circled around you on the couch. Upon further investigation, he takes notice of a certain furry four-legged animal sitting right next to you.

"Uh, when exactly did we get a dog?" Sam asks, gaining the attention of you and the others. "He's been with me for a few years," you answer, scratching your dog behind his ears. "You haven't met him yet since we've only been dating for a couple months." "Well he is cute," Natasha admits, "but did you clear this over with Tony before moving in?" "I figured it would be easier to ask forgiveness then permission in this case," you reply, "Besides, how could Tony possibly say no to this face?" you hold up (y/d/n)'s face to show everyone. "Where exactly did you get him?" Clint asked. "He's a rescue," you explain, "His previous owners sadly died in a car accident and no one else would take him. We've been together since."

"Well he is pretty cute," Sam says as he approaches (y/d/n), who barks at Sam, "Whoa," Sam backs away, "Guess he doesn't like men all that much." "His deceased owners were two daddies," you tell Sam. "So the mutt has something against black men?" Sam crosses his arms and glares at the dog. (y/d/n) sees Rhodey and T'challa enter the room and he happily greets them. "Even if he didn't do that, one of his daddies was biracial and the other was Latino," you whisper to Sam. "Okay, well, maybe we just got off the wrong foot," Sam tries to provide for an explanation, "I probably should let him come to me first." Sam kneels a little and beckons (y/d/n) to come to him. All (y/d/n) did was lie down where he was, ignoring Sam's encouragement. After a minute or so, Sam gives up. "I don't want to further dampen this situation but (y/d/n)'s never done this before," you admit, "but I'm sure he'll warm up to you soon enough." "Yeah when HYDRA becomes a force of good," Bucky quips, walking across the lounge. "Don't listen to him, sweetie," you console a scowling Sam, "(y/d/n) probably needs time to adjust his new home."

You move towards Sam a little more to kiss him, but before you could, (y/d/n) starts to growl. You pull away and the growling stops. Sam moves towards you again, and the dog growls again, he moves away and the growling stops once again. Sam tries a few more times but (y/d/n) would growl every time he tried to advance towards you. "Sounds like someone has a little furry competition on his hands," Clint smirks, trying to stifle a laugh.
