Praising God Through The Storms

Praising God through the storms.

Sometimes when your in the mist of battling with mental illness, praising God is the last thing on your mind.

Lately I have been very depressed. Some days it's hard for me just to get out of bed. I have been just focusing on making it through each day. And when you are very depressed, making it through each day, it VERY tough. So praising God has been the last thing on my mind.

But that's not what God wants. God wants us to ALWAYS praise Him. Even when we are struggling, even when we are in pain, even when things aren't going our way, and even when mental illness is attacking us. God still wants us to praise Him. 

Why? Because He is a good God and He deserves all our praise. 

I know it's tough to go through life, battling with storms. But I know you can do it. Just keep going. God is with you. With God on your side, you can do ANYTHING! Don't give up. Don't lose hope. Run to God and He will help you.

Instead of focusing on the storms. Let's fix our eyes on Jesus. Let's praise Him through the storm. Because He is with us, He is good, and He loves us. 

Verses:

"Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations,knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:1-5

"All glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen." Jude 1:24-25

"He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord." Psalm 40:3

Prayer:

Dear God,

I am really struggling right now. But I pray, the I praise and worship you through the storms. Help me fix my eyes on you and not the storms. Because I know you are bigger, greater, and stronger than any storm I face. With you Lord, I can do ANYTHING! Please come into my heart. So I can do life with you by my side. I thank you for all my many blessings. I praise you because you are so good to me.

In Jesus's name, I pray, Amen.
