Listening to God.
Maybe right now, you are struggling with listening to God. Maybe you haven't heard His voice in a long time. I am here to tell you: you can hear Him! He is there!
Here are three ways that God speaks (I am sure there are more ways that God speaks, but here are three):
1. God speaks through His Word
God has showed us so much in His word. He tells us how He loves us, how He has an amazing plan for our life, life and death of Jesus. If you feel overwhelmed by the Bible because it's so big and you don't know where to start reading. Start reading in Mathew and read the life of Jesus. God speaks through His Word, you just have to read it.
2. God speaks through His Whispers
That voice in your head, telling you right from wrong, is God. God speaks to our spirit, in dreams, visions, and He directs our thoughts to His plan. God is speaking to you. You just have to listen.
3. God speaks through His People.
The close Christian friends you have, are a gift from God. When they give you advise, God is speaking through them. Listen to them. If you don't have any close Christian friends, you can have me! Private message me and I will be your new friend!
So those are three ways God speaks. Let's start reading His Word, listening to the voice in our head, and listen to our close Christian friends!
Verses:
"My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. Have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread." Job 23:11-12
"Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.'" Isaiah 30:20-21
Prayer:
Dear God,
Help me to hear your voice. Help me to listen through Your Word, Your Whispers, and Your People. Help me to be closer to you than ever before. I grab your hand so I can walk through life with you by my side.
I thank you Lord for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
