When You Don't Feel The Presence Of God

When you don't feel the presence of God.

Maybe right now, you haven't felt the presence of God in a long time. Maybe you are going through some pretty rough circumstances so you feel distant from God. No matter how far you feel from God's presence, you can always come running into God's loving arms.

When you don't feel the presence of God, here's my tips on what to do:

1. Worship

Even though you may feel frustrated, anger, and confused at God. The best thing to do is turn on your favorite Christian music, lift your hands, sing, and worship God with all your heart. Worshiping God is one way we can really connect with God. I love to worship God when I am alone in my car driving. Just turn on your favorite worship music and praise God!

2. Praying

You may feel far from God if you haven't talked to Him in a while. Just open up and be honest with Him. Tell Him about how you are mad, frustrated, confused, and don't feel His presence. Be real with God and tell Him how you feel. He will always be there to listen.

3. Reading The Bible

One good way to hear from God is to hear His word. God speaks through His word, we just have to read it and listen. I know it's really hard to find time to read His word but we always find time to go on social media. So let's just start taking ten minutes a day reading His word.

"Then place it in the Presence of God, your God. Prostrate yourselves in the Presence of God, your God. And rejoice! Celebrate all the good things that God, your God, has given you and your family; you and the Levite and the foreigner who lives with you." Deuteronomy 26:11

"David then addressed the congregation: "Bless God, your God!" And they did it, blessed God, the God of their ancestors, and worshiped reverently in the presence of God and the king." 1 Chronicles 29:20

"It will be a set-right and put-together life for us if we make sure that we do this entire commandment in the Presence of God, our God, just as he commanded us to do." Deuteronomy 6:25

Prayer:

Dear God,

I pray that as I worship you, read Your word, and talk to you that I be in your presence. Help me to feel and know your presence. Fill me with you love, joy, grace, rest, peace, and forgiveness as I enter your presence. Help me to be close to you and know more about you everyday.

I thank you for all my many blessing and for Your son.

In Jesus's name, I pray, Amen.
