Chapter 21: The Purge

Yo! So... this one. Yikes. Don't know how anyone's gonna kill anyone of the main cast, since Lucy, Yuri, Sans and Ayano are in the same house.

7:09 A.M. Yuri's POV

I wake up to the alarm and see Monika rocking back and forth in a ball with a scared expression on her face.

"Monika? What's the matter?" I ask, and she turns to me slowly.

She sighs heavily and hugs me tightly.

"Good... you're alive..!" Monika cries, and I hug her tighter, stroking her head.

"What's up? Why are you so... on edge?" I ask.

"Today... today's the first annual Purge, and I thought that someone got to you in our sleep..." Monika explains, and I look her in the eyes, wiping away her tears.

"Listen to me, Monika Kōdo. I am going nowhere. And if you ever think different, you're sorely mistaken. Plus, it's not for a few more hours or so. Now hush." I explain, and I get behind Monika, massaging her shoulders until she's calm.

"Are you alright now?" I ask, and she nods.

I pat her head and get out of the bed.

"I'm going to go downstairs and see who's awake. I'll get us something to eat." I explain, and Monika lays back down.

I walk down the stairs carefully, holding my head. I look downstairs and see Lucy and Nyu cuddling on the couch asleep, Schrödinger eating an apfelkuchen at the kitchen, and I see Midna stealing some of Schrödinger's food every once in a while. I sigh in relief and walk down the rest of the stairs. I see one of the literal redheads poke their heads up from the couch. I wave at her, and she smiles back at me. She jumps up from the couch and hugs me.

"Nyu!" Nyu exclaims, making Schrödinger and Midna look over at us, and they wave.

"G-good morning to you too, Nyu." I respond, and she goes to sit down next to Schrödinger.

"Guten Morgen, Yuri! Hast du eine gute Nacht gehabt?" Schrödinger asks.
Translation; Good morning, Yuri! How was your night?

"Fine, thanks. And you?" I respond, and he swallows another bite of food.

"It was also good. I mean, I had Midna with me~." Schrödinger replies, and Midna blushes, ruffling Schrödinger's hair angrily.

"Nyu?" Nyu asks, pointing to the half-eaten apfelkuchen in front of Schrödinger.

"You want some, Nyu? Here, you can have some!" Schrödinger says, handing her a piece with a fork.

Nyu eats it off of the fork, and she smiles, hugging him in joy.

"I guess it tasted good, huh?" Schrödinger asks, chuckling.

"Nyuu, nyu!" She exclaims.

Schrödinger pets her head, careful as to not touch her horns, and she blushes, going back to Lucy. I take an apfelkuchen from the fridge and go back upstairs to the bedroom.

7:12 A.M. Monika's POV

This is a dream, this is a dream, this is a dream... the Purge cannot be happening today... I know I can just bring anyone back via code, but I'd have to reverse their memories, and I don't want that... I don't know what to do, audience... I'm starting to lose my cool here...

I hear knocking on the door.

"Come in!" I respond, and Yuri walks in with a plate of either pie or cake, I can't tell.
