Chapter 86: Monika's First Taste of Pain and a Feral Dust

It was bound to happen sooner later. Also, this is ENTIRELY filler.

1:09 A.M. Retro's POV

Another day of staying awake all night long... God, I'm such an insomniac.

I try to move, but I realize Kam, Neo and Schrödinger have been clinging to my body all night long.

You have got to be kidding me...

I sigh before rubbing Schrödinger's head, and he purrs softly before waking up, eyes opening slowly. He smiles a little.

"Schön zu sehen, dass du die ganze Nacht wach warst." Schrödinger whispers.
Translation; Nice to see you were awake all night.

"Oh, ha ha. Laugh it up, Schrödinger." I retort.

He chuckles in satisfaction, and I feel a hand squeeze my arm. I look to see that it's Neo, smiling at me.

"Did we wake you?" I ask quietly, and she nods, cuddling me further.

"Kinda forgot you can't speak without sign language, Neo." I joke, making her laugh.

Of course, no sound comes out of her mouth. She kisses my cheek before pointing to Kam.

"She's a heavy sleeper. Lemme wake her up." I respond before both Neo and Schrödinger get out of the bed, and Neo shatters onto Midna and Isabelle's bed before carrying them carefully and shattering back down to the floor.

"Isn't your Aura gonna deplete if you keep shattering like that?" I ask.

She gives Midna to Schrödinger, who cradles her like she's a baby so Neo can use a free hand for a sign.

'Nope. While you were sleeping last night, I snuck into Monika's room and had her make my Aura infinite. So, I can shatter and reappear whenever I want with no consequences or tire.'

"That's... kinda OP." I respond, and she turns the sign around in her hand.

'Sue me.'

She puts the sign away as Schrödinger gives her Midna back, and I roll over to face Kam. I go to her ear.

"🎵Some...🎵" I sing, making her instantly wake up and sit up.

"🎵-BODY ONCE TOLD ME--🎵" Kam sings before I cover her mouth to prevent more noise, and I sigh.

"What am I gonna do with you, Kam?" I ask, and she shrugs.

I slowly take my hand off of her mouth, and she smiles at me.

"You know what's gonna happen next, don't you?" Kam asks.

"Kinda, but I'm blanking on it." I respond.

Kam takes a deep breath, making me put a hand on her shoulder.

"I'll kiss you if you don't sing." I state, and Kam laughs.

"You'll kiss me anyway." Kam responds.

"Dammit, you're cute when you're right." I mutter.

Kam blushes and looks away.

"...baka." Kam mutters.
Translation; ...moron.

"I mean, it's in my name." I respond, and Kam slaps me a little.

"Shut the hell your mouth." Kam responds.

I cup her chin with my hand, making her turn beet red.

"And if I don't~?" I ask.

Kam stutters over herself before I smile warmly.
