"What?" Grayson asked in disbelief, looking at me with wide eyes as he began driving.

My shoulders slumped as I fell back into the seat, throwing my head back as I released a strangled sigh.

"We need to tell Caleb, Gray." I sighed, "We have no choice."

Grayson clenched his hands around the steering wheel, his knuckles turning pale as he clenched his jaw, the rain racketing against the car making the moment all more nerve wracking.

Grayson groaned, "Fucking Meredith," he seethed, "I've always hated that bitch."

"Language," I butted in, using my sarcasm as a coping mechanism.

Grayson narrowed his eyes, quickly turning his head to glare at me.

"It's not all her fault," I pointed out, "We did kiss at school in front of everyone, yesterday."

He exhaled deeply, biting his lip so hard I'm surprised it didn't bleed.

"I know," he said bluntly, "I just—ugh. I know you've been stressed about this from the start, I wanted you to tell him on your own terms, not because you have too."

I pouted, sighing loudly. He's right.

From the moment Grayson kissed me in my backyard, I've felt pure guilt every minute of the day, not necessarily because I'm with Grayson but because I'm with him and not telling Caleb about it.

"It's okay,"

He slowed down at a red light, turning to look at me with wide eyes, like I was an alien or something, like every word I was saying right now wasn't me.

"It's not," he scoffed, "You're not ready."

I bit my lip nervously, he's right once again, "I'm not," I confirmed, "I don't think I'll ever be, I'm so damn scared but we need to do it."
