Chapter 27.

Brooklyn's P.O.V.

Saturday

"We need a girls night again" Beverly said.

"Well good thing I got reservations tonight" Bethany said.

I gasped.

"Where?" I asked.

"Surprise" Bethany smirked.

"Tonight at 7, dress formal" she added.

She was being weird.

I looked at Becca and she shrugged.

"Well I have some boring things to do before dinner so catch you guys later" Becca said.

"Be nice" Bethany glared at Becca.

"I'll try" Becca smirked and left.

Around 5, I went to go get ready.

Showered, makeup, and hair.

I put on the bracelet Luke gave me, and I sighed looking at it.

After, I went outside to the car and left.

"Okay so we're supposed to meet at Bethany's" I told Nate.

"Miss, I got different instructions from Bethany" he said.

"Okay? Why is everybody acting so weird about this?" I laughed, nervously.

After awhile the car stopped.

Nate opened the door for me and I got off.

I saw that we were at Gramercy Tavern.

I was speechless.

And then the least person I expected to see walked to me.

"I'm glad you could make it" Luke smiled.

I didn't know what to do or say.

He reached for my hand and kissed it.

I then snatched it away.

"What are you doing? Where's Bethany? Beverly? Becca?" I said.

"Omg, they tricked me. I'm going to kill them" I said.

I turned around and started walking, trying to find the car.

"I need to go. Where's Nate?" I said, getting frustrated.

"He left. You have two choices Brooklyn Montgomery. Stay and eat dinner with me or get in a taxi, which I know you wouldn't get on" he said.

"You're unbelievable. Watch me" I said, rolling my eyes.

I looked around, pretending to call a cab.

I felt him grab my arm and I looked at him.

He stared into my eyes.
