The next day

There was a football game today.

After school, we went to go get ready.

When we were done, we walked outside.

I saw Angel in his uniform, all cute af.

"Look at you" he said to me, grabbing my hand and he spun me.

I laughed and we kissed.

"Hey, my parents well mostly my grandma wants to meet you" he said.

Before I could answer, their football coach whistle blew.

"I'll meet you later" he kissed my cheek.

"Good luck. I'll be cheering and only be cheering for you" I smiled and he left.

I walked towards the girls.

"Guys what should I do? Their parents want to meet and my mom doesn't even know" I panicked.

"Have you tried talking with your mom?" Beverly asked.

"Is that even a question?" I said.

"Well, then that's her problem. She finds out, oh well" Becca said and we got to where all the girls were at.

"Okay girls, let's start warming up. Stretch and then we'll do partner warm-up" I said, and we did all of our routine.

I made eye contact with Luke, but I quickly looked away.

The game started and we cheered.

And suddenly Luke got hit, badly.

He wouldn't get up.

"Luke" I whispered.

Without thinking I dropped my pom-poms and ran to the field where he was at.

"Luke?" I tried to get him on my lap.

And then the athletic trainer came, started checking him.

I took his helmet off, and he was moving his head around.

"Let's take him inside. Brook, I'm going to need you to calm down" he said to me.

Then they got one of those things to carry him.

"C'mon baby" Angel grabbed me.

"Go back, they're about to start the game" he said and I listened to him but  I went inside to look for Luke.

They put him in the nurse's office and I waited outside the door.

"What are you doing here?" I heard and saw Kendall.

I stayed silent because I didn't even know why I was there.

"Go back to the side lines and do the only thing you know how to do" she said.

"You don't have to talk to me like that" I whsipered and she put her hand on her forehead.

Then the athletic trainer came out.

"Do any of you two know his mom's contact information?" he asked.

"I do" she said and they left.

I opened the door and saw him laying down there.

He grabbed my hand.

"How are you?" I asked.

"Good, my body hurts though" he groaned.

"I hope you feel better. Um I have to go" I said.

"No don't go" he said.

"I have to, your girlfriend will be here at any minute" I said and he made a face.

"Bye" I said and our hands slowly separated.

When I got back, the game was over.

"Brooklyn, what the hell? Where'd you go?" Becca asked.

"Don't. I don't even know, I was just worried" I said.

Angel then came.

"Hi, good job" I hugged him.

"Thanks" he kissed me and we walked towards his car.

"See you later girls" I said.

"Can I give you a ride home?" he asked.

"My driver is already here, I'm sorry baby" I said.

He made a sad face.

"So just a question, did you have a past with Luke?" he asked.

My heart stopped.

"Luke? Of course not. Just being a good teammate. But off topic, I would like to meet your family" I said and he hugged me.

"I didn't think you would want to" he said, as he put me down.

"Tomorrow after school, okay?" he said.

I nodded.

"Well I have to go, drive safe home" I kissed him.

"Same goes to you" he smiled and we left.
