I packed my stuff for tryouts, me and the girls were trying out to play volleyball.
We figured that we should do more things together, to spend more time together.
All we're going to have are memories in the end.
When I was ready, I said bye to Angelina and left.
I went with my friends.
"Heyy" I said and they smiled.
We walked to homeroom.
I bumped into Luke.
"Get out the way" he mocked me.
I scoffed.
I pushed him as I laughed.
"How are you?" he smiled.
"I'm better than ever" I smiled and went to sit down.
Our teacher started talking.
I saw the empty chair Angel used to sit at.
I sighed.
Luke's P.O.V.
I saw Brooklyn's friends walking.
"Hey, can one of you tell me if Brooklyn's okay?" I asked.
Becca cleared her throat.
"She's perfect" she faked smiled.
"What happened with her and Angel?"
Bethany was about to speak but Becca cut her off.
"If she didn't tell you then it's none of your business. Good day" she said and they left.
Brooklyn's P.O.V.
After school, we went to go change for tryouts.
"I'm so nervous, I haven't played in years" Beverly said.
"I'm scared I'm not gonna get in" Becca laughed.
"I think we've played plenty of times in gym. I think we can get the hang of it" I said.
"You know what I'm scared of? The running" Bethany said and we laughed.
When we were done, we went to the gym.
We saw the skanks.
Neither Julliette or me gave each other faces.
It was like the waves were going down.
They were only like 17 girls.
"Hey girls, welcome to tryouts. To start off, we'll start conditioning, so as you will give me 7 laps around the gym" coach said and we ran.
When we were done, we stopped.
"Are y'all tired? Y'all shouldn't be so give me three more" she said and we ran.
When we were done, we took a water break.
"So we'll start the basics, get into two and start passing the ball to each other. When we're done, we'll have a little scrimmage and I'll observe who has potential" coach said.
I went with Beverly and we started passing the ball.
When we were done, she put us into two teams.
She blew the whistle and I served the ball.
We were pretty exhausted.
"Good game girls. I see potential in every one of you. So I think I'm staying with everyone and cutting no one" coach smiled and we cheered.
"We do have one week to practice though before our first game so tomorrow, I want you all full ready to practice" she said and we nodded.
When we got our stuff, we went outside.
As I took a drink out of my water, I saw Luke outside.
Becca groaned.
"I'll catch y'all later" I said to them and they said bye.
"Didn't know you were going to try out till Bethany told me" he said.
"Wanted to make my senior year memorable. Were you waiting for me?" I asked.
"Yeah um, I wanted to ask you, what happened with Angel?"
"For God's sake, can you stop with these questions? It's none of your business" I said.
"Brooklyn, I just want to make sure you're fine"
"You want the truth? He left. Happy?" I faked smiled.
I then started walking away.
He grabbed my arm and swiftly made me turn to him.
I was in his face.
"So you're single?" he said, nervously.
I stared into his eyes.
"Yeah and I'm planning to stay like this till I'm old" I faked smiled and snatched my hand away.
