We finally got to go home.
Luke was carrying Benji and I collapsed on the couch.
"He's so precious" he whispered and I smiled.
And then Benji started crying.
"He's probably hungry," Luke said.
"There's a bottle in the bag, I'll get it" I said, reaching for the bag.
"You're not going to breastfeed him?"
I groaned.
"No, my whole body aches" I said.
"Okay" he said, grabbing the bottle and feeding him.
"I'm going to take a nap" I said, kissing his cheek and leaving to my room.
The next few days have been stressful.
All Benji did was cry and cry.
I was in the living room, doing some work and he was in his bouncy seat.
I heard the elevator and saw Luke.
"Hey" he smiled.
"Hi, how was work?" I asked and he kissed me.
"Good" he smiled.
Benji started crying and I rolled my eyes.
I picked him up and smelled him.
I made a face.
"Analia, Benji needs a diaper change" I called out.
"Are you not going to change him?" Luke said.
"No, I'm busy" I said.
Analia came and got him.
"Wait Analia" Luke said, taking Benji.
I rolled my eyes because I knew what he was going to say.
"Why won't you change him? It's your job as a mom" he said.
"Do you know how stressful it has been this week? I'm still adapting. My whole body feels different. I feel different and all you're doing is complaining, thinking I'm a bad mom. You're not helping" I said, shutting my laptop.
I got Benji and left to the nursery.
As I changed him, he smiled at me.
I couldn't help but smile.
After I changed him, I carried him to my room and placed him on my bed.
I laid down beside him.
Luke came in and I rolled my eyes.
"I don't want to talk" I said, softly.
"I'm here to apologize. You're right. I don't know what it was like to actually give birth, I was there with you and I saw the pain and all I have to do is understand and help you" he said.
I didn't say anything.
"I love you and Benji. I'm sorry" he said, kissing my forehead.
"Fine, I forgive you" I said.
"Kiss me" he said.
I smiled and kissed him.
We heard the phone ring.
I saw that it was Peter and I answered.
"Hey, Peter" I said.
"Brook, it's time" he said and I heard Becca scream in the background.
