I didn't go to school for two days.
Me and mom had gone to our beach house but it was time to come back.
I was walking to school, and I went to the picnic table.
"Brook, where have you been?" Becca said.
"Are you okay?" Bethany asked.
"We heard that Julian got beaten up by Luke and they saw you crying" Beverly said.
I took a deep breath.
"That day, Julian hit me" I said.
"He what?" Beverly said.
"That piece of shit, I'm going to look for him" Becca said and got up.
"No please don't. I don't want him to hurt you guys" I said.
And they hugged me.
We went inside and I walked to my locker.
I saw Luke coming.
"I've missed you" he said and he hugged me.
I was taken by surprise but I closed my eyes and hugged him.
"Thank you for everything" I said, as I kissed his cheek and left.
After practice, I went home.
I opened the door and saw William walking down the stairs.
"Ew you stink" he said and I rolled my eyes.
I ignored him and went upstairs to my room.
He then followed me and went inside my room.
"Your mom told me to tell you to meet her at her office" he said.
"Yeah I know" I said and then he looked closely on my face.
The bruise, the makeup might've taken off with my sweat.
"Is that a bruise? Who hit you?" he said.
I cleared my throat.
"No one, the ball hit me" I laughed, nervously.
"Did your boyfriend do that?" he said.
"No, I just told you I got hit with the ball. Can you please go now?" I said.
"Alright, do you need a ride to her office?" he asked.
"In your motorcycle? No thanks unless you told Nate to take the day off again" I said and he laughed.
"No but I can go tell him right now" he said.
"I'm good, thank you. Now go because I need to shower" I said.
"Mkay" he said and left.
I took a shower and changed.
I put on some light make up and went downstairs.
"Take care" I heard and it was William.
I waved and left.
I got to my mom's building and I went to her office.
"Hey baby" she said and hugged me.
"How was school?" she asked.
"It was alright" I said, as we sat down.
And then we heard some yelling.
I turned around and saw Julian and his family arguing with my mom's secretary.
I put my head down.
"What are they doing here?" my mom got up.
"I'm sorry Miss, I couldn't hold them back" Victoria said.
"It's okay Victoria" my mom said and she left.
"What the hell do you think y'all are doing here?" my mom said, crossing her arms.
"We had a deal Bianca" his mom said.
"Deal that was broken the second this asshole started not only verbally abusing but physically abusing my daughter" she said.
"That is not true" I heard Julian say.
"Tell him to shut his mouth because I'm not going to be able to hold myself back" my mom said.
"Look, we can destroy you" his dad said and my mom laughed.
"I'll destroy you first. Look at my daughter, she has bruises on her body. Get out before I call the police to arrest him and don't try to buy the judge because we will win. I want your son to stay away as far as he can from my daughter" my mom said.
They stayed quiet.
"Now get out before I call security" my mom faked smiled and they left.
She took a deep breath.
"I want to be as strong as you are" I said to her and she smiled.
"You are strong Brook, you just have to recognize it and learn to be confident" she said.
"Do you really not want me to press charges against him?" she said and I shook my head no.
"I don't want it to ruin your reputation, my reputation. As long as he stays away from me, I'll be fine" I said and she nodded and hugged me.
