Today we had awards and our senior breakfast with our parents.

When I was ready, I went downstairs.

I saw my mom.

She wasn't really happy with me but whatever.

She opened the door.

"We have to wait for my dad" I said.

"He can meet us their" she said and went to the car.

I groaned and texted my dad to meet us there.

We got to school and got off.

We went to the cafeteria and I saw my friends with their parents.

All of our moms started a talk.

"I told her about Luke" I said to them.

"How'd it go?" Bethany asked.

"Probably horrible" Becca said.

I rolled my eyes.

"She wasn't happy about it" I said.

I saw my dad.

"Hey girls" he said.

"Hi, Mr. Montegemery" they smiled.

Then my mom came to us.

"Hi, Bianca" my dad said and kissed her cheek.

She cleared her throat.

"Hi" she said.

And then I saw Luke coming in.

"There he goes, mom be nice" I said and she rolled her eyes.

"Bianca" my dad said.

I hugged him.

"Hi baby" I said.

"Hey" he smiled.

"This is my mom" I said.

"Hi, I'm Luke West" he offered his hand.

"I'm Bianca" my mom said and faked smiled.

She shook his hand.

"My dad, Uriel" I said.

"Luke" my dad said and they shook hands.

"Where's your mom?" I asked.

"She's coming in, he had to change Bruno's diaper" he said.

His mom then came.

"Hey" I smiled.

"Hi" she said, smiling but I could tell it was forced.

"I'm Ruth West" she said, shaking my parent's hand.

"Bianca Woods"

"Uriel Montgomery"

"Luke, come help with Bruno. I'll catch y'all later" she said to my parents.

"You want me to save a seat for you?" Luke asked.

"Yeah, three" I smiled and they left.

"I can tell she doesn't like the idea either Brook" my mom said and I looked down at my cup.

"Bianca, dont" my dad said.

"Who are you kidding Uriel? You could tell" she said.

"Should we sit down?" I said and we went where Luke was at.

I sat beside him and he grabbed my hand.

Our principal started talking on the microphone.

She started calling out for the Honor Roll and Principles List, Attendance and etc.

"Can we have our salutatorian Rebecca Fox come up" she said.

Becca went up and got her certificate as everyone clapped.

I then saw Mia and I looked the other way.

"Now let's have our valedictorians Luke West and Brooklyn Montgomery" and we got up as everyone clapped.

He still held my hand.

"Now for last some words from our Senior Class president, Brooklyn Montgomery"

And I said some words.

When we were done, we went to our parents.

"Congrats princess" my dad smiled and he hugged me.

My mom hugged me.

"That's my girl" she said.

"Congrats" my dad hugged Luke.

His mom just looked at me and walked away.

I saw my mom roll her eyes.

Me and Luke were walking together.

"Is everything fine?" he asked and I nodded.

"What's wrong?"

"Your mom hates me" I said.

"That's not too true, she's just overprotective"

I shrugged.

"I saw the way she looks at me and it's not a good feeling"

He hugged me.

"I don't care what my mom or your mom have to say. I love you and I don't want to leave your side" he said.

I smiled and buried my head in his chest.

"I'm going to go use the bathroom, I'll be right back" he said and I nodded.

I then heard someone talking.

I looked to see and it was my parents and Luke's mom.

I hid behind the wall.

"Hey excuse me" my mom said.

"Can I help you with something?"

"Yeah, look I've been seeing the way you look at my daughter. It's disrespectful" my mom said.

"I'm sorry I just don't like the relationship your daughter has with my son"

My mom scoffed.

"Do you even know my daughter?" my mom said.

"Not really but I do know the type of people you rich people are. You think you're powerful because of your money"

My mom was about to say something but my dad caught her off.

"I think you're judging the book by its cover. You have no idea how we are. You don't know us personally so don't say something that's not even true" he said.

Luke's mom started laughing.

"I don't have to know you personally. You people think you're in charge of everything. You play people, you make them feel special and then treat them like nothing"

"Who hurt you? Was it one of your boyfriends?" my mom laughed.

"It was actually. I met someone who gave me the world and when he found out I was pregnant, he left me because I wasn't at his height. The same thing is not going to happen to Luke. It'll only be matter of time when your daughter gets bored and decides to dump him"

"Brooklyn is not like that" my dad said.

"Well soon it'll be over. They'll graduate and say goodbye"

"Well Ruth, I hope for that day. And you know what? I would rather have my daughter hurt your son than your son hurt my daughter. Have a good afternoon" my mom said and they left.

I couldn't believe what I had heard.

I went to go look for Luke.
