CHAPTER FIVE

I woke to the sound of people talking. I blinked a couple of times to get my vision into focus. I was in my room and all of them were here, including Sehun who was casually leaning by the door.

"She's awake," Kai was the first to notice since he's sitting on my bed. Everyone's attention suddenly turned to me.

"We were so worried, you must be really exhausted to have fainted like that." Lay sighed in relief.

"Sorry for being a burden." I apologized.

"It's the least we could do," Kyungsoo gave me an apologetic smile.

"W-why is he here?" I asked as I looked at Sehun who instantly looked confused.

"Am I not allowed here?" he asked in bewilderment.

"Get out... please." I hated myself even more when my voice shook.

"Paige, calm down." Suho said.

"Please, just get him out of here." I begged.

Tao and Chen immediately dragged Sehun outside the room despite his questions. I just can't stay in the same room as him, especially not in this very room. By the time he was gone, I was able to calm myself down.

"You need to maintain your composure, Paige. I know it's hard since you're scared but you can't let fear control you." Baekhyun explained as he patted my shoulder.

I took a deep breath. "Sorry, I'm just afraid that he might do it again." I said as I gripped the bedsheets. "And... how come he's still clueless? Wouldn't he be able to tell what I'm thinking?" I asked them.

"We blocked his thoughts, it's for your own safety." Baekhyun answered.

"As long as you don't get any physical contact with him, his other form wouldn't appear. He's out to get you, he has a right to do so." Luhan said and I looked at him in confusion. What do you mean he has a right?

Luhan had a worried expression on his face. "Remember when Sehun said that your scent was different?" I nodded, it was when Kyungsoo cut him off. "Your scent did change, and that's because you were claimed." I didn't fully understand but I know it isn't a good thing.

"Claimed?" I repeated.

"He left his mark on you and you know it's more than just the mark on your wrist." my eyes widened in realization.

"Don't worry because it could be worse, he claimed you but it can still be void as long as you don't become his mate." Chanyeol said.

"Mate? What do you mean by mate?!" I exclaimed. I don't know much about this demon stuff but I'm not going to be Sehun's toy!

"Your thoughts are amusing yet they do have a point," Kai chuckled. So am I right? "But Paige, being a mate is not just about sex. A mate is someone whom a demon shall spend the rest of his or her life with." he added.

I laughed and they all looked at me as if I'd gone mad. "This is insane, Sehun doesn't even know about what happened and I'm pretty sure his other form wouldn't appear again because I never EVER intend to have him near me again."

"That's where you're wrong. You're too damn careless and I'm sure your stubbornness would get you into trouble again." Kyungsoo scoffed, much to my chagrin.

"Another thing you have to be careful with... don't mention his name especially if he's near you or if he's in his other form." Lay warned.

"And why?" now that he mentioned it, I've always been interrupted whenever I'm about to say Sehun's name.
