Jesse - New Trainee

Your POV:
Today I've been called down for my first shift as a lifeguard. Yeah, I'm nervous but I'm pretty excited too. I got up and took a shower before heading off to work. I made myself look representable then grabbed my bag heading to the door leaving my apartment. My nerves started up but not a lot.

I made it to the tower all ready for the day ahead. Hoppo was standing outside waiting for me. "Good to see you y/n! Ready for your first day?" He asked. "Yeah! Excited but nervous." I said as he laughed. "I'll introduce you to who you'll be working with. I'm sure you've met some of the others before." He said as we walked into the tower. "Yep I know Deano and Singlets. Also Harries." I told him. We walked into the tower and a few of them turned to face me. "Guys, this is y/n she is the new trainee for the season so be nice to her." Hoppo said as everyone chuckled. I smiled. "Jesse?" Hoppo said. The brown haired guy came over. He had piercing blue eyes. They were so beautiful. "This is y/n. You'll be working together today." He said. "Nice to meet you." I said to him. "You too." Jesse said with a smile. We said bye to Hoppo grabbing our radios and heading to the rhino where my shift began.

Jesse noticed a guy struggling to stay afloat so he sent me out. I paddled as fast as I could towards the guy that was struggling to stay up. "Get on." I said as I helped him up on the board. I paddled back to shore, "Swim between the red and yellow flags." I told him as he walked off. "Good job y/n/n!" Jesse said as I came back to the rhino after a rescue. I placed the board down and put my blue shirt back on. "Thank you." I said smiling.

After a few rescues the day went by quickly. I made my way up to the tower to collect my things. "Thank you for today. I had fun." I said before I left. "We're glad you enjoyed it. We'll see you when you're next in." Deano said. I waved them goodbye before leaving. Jesse came over so he was standing next to me. "It was really nice working with you today y/n." Jesse said as we walked out of the tower. "You too." I said with a smile. "Would you like to get a drink sometime?" He asked. I could tell he was nervous in the way he spoke. "I would love too." I said as he smiled. Jesse handed me a piece of paper. "Text me so we can arrange a date." He said. We both said bye to one another and I walked away with a big smile on my face. This was the start of a perfect relationship.
