Luke - promise ring

Your POV:
Today is Luke and I's 3rd year anniversary and he said he had something special to give me. I told him not to but he insisted on and he told me not to get him anything but of course I didn't listen.

We woke up and got ready for the day. I walked out of our room to the living room seeing a bunch of red roses on the table. "Luke?!" I wined. "You shouldn't have." I said turning round to face him. "I had to." He said with a cheeky grin. I smiled looking at the small gifts he got me. "Wait right here!" I told him as I walked out of the room and collected his gift before heading back to him. Luke gave me a look. "Babe? I said don't get me anything." He said as I handed him the gift. He slowly began to open it and it revealed a Rolex watch. "No way! You didn't?!" He exclaimed taking the watch out of the box and placing it on his wrist immediately. Luke pulled me into his arms peppering my face with kisses. "Also there's one more gift which I'll give to you later." I said with a slight smirk. "Oh is there now?" He said as he lifted an eyebrow.

Luke's POV:
I was giving y/n promise ring today. I planned to give it to her on our anniversary but I was stuck for ideas. "You alright there mate?" Lachie said taking a seat. "Hmm kinda." I replied looking out the window. "Why what's up?" Mouse asked as he spun his chair around. "Well I'm giving y/n a promise ring today for our 3rd year anniversary but I'm just trying to think of a special way to do it." I explained. "Well you can try doing it at dinner." Mouse said. "Too simple." I added. "Maybe on a walk." Troy suggested. "Yeah maybe." I added thinking hard about it.

Why is this so hard to choose?? "How about your favourite place?" Lachie suggested. "The kitchen but make it romantic." Jake said. We all looked at him. He put his hands up in the air. "This is why we never ask you for ideas." I said sarcastically. We all got into fits of laughter. "What's happening in here then?" Hoppo asked as him and Harris walked in. "I plan on giving y/n a promise ring for our 3rd year anniversary which is today but I'm stuck for ideas." I explained. "I dread to think what Jake said." Hoppo said as we laughed. "It wasn't that bad." Jake said. "The kitchen? Out of all places you chose the kitchen." Chappo exclaimed making us all laugh.

Hoppo and Harris laughed. "Just do something that you think she'll love even if it's just here on the beach in the sunset or after your shift. Just go with your heart Luke. She'll love it." Harries said as I smiled. "That sounds great. Thank you guys." I said to them all as we carried on with our shift.

Your POV:
Luke told me to meet him on the beach but he was know where to be seen. "Y/n?!" I heard Luke shout. I smiled seeing him come toward me. I missed him. We hugged and shared a kiss. A different kiss shall we say. A lot more love went into it.

Luke took my hands holding them tightly. "Baby I know this isn't how I planned this to go but promise me you'll stay with me forever. Grow old with me together." Luke began. "Yes of course!" I said smiling as we held hand. "I told you that I'll marry you but right now I'm making a promise. I'm giving you this promise ring so I can promise you that I'll marry you and promise to be here for you when you need it the most and promise to love you no matter what. I love you y/n. I really do." Luke told me. I've never see this side of Luke fully before. He's a romantic guy but this was something else. "I love you too Luke. And when that day comes it's going to be the best day of my laugh because I'm marrying my love and my soulmate. I promise to be here for you babe." I smiled through the tears. Luke wipes my tears away with his thumbs.

Luke held my hand as we walked off of the beach. We walked home from the wonderful and beautiful evening we just had. Nothing can compare to the love I have towards this guy. I love him so much.
