Joel - Hook up

Your POV:
Let's just say that one thing led to another that night. Joel and I have been friends for years and yeah. We kinda went to the next level of our friendship/ relationship. You can probably guess what happened.

Joel and I are work mates and have been for at least 4 years coming up to 5 soon. We work together and spend a lot of time with one another that's how we became good friends. It was a new day and also a nice one. Joel walked into the tower looking happy. He said hi to everyone. "Joel?" I said pulling him aside. "Yeah." He said looking at me. "I have something to tell you. Just promise me you won't get angry and not want to be friends anymore." I said slightly panicking. "Y/n just tell me. It'll be ok." He said reassuring me. "Ok well... I'm pregnant." I told him showing him the test I took the other day. He looked at it. "Congrats." He said with a smile. He's going to be shocked. "It's yours Joel." I said making him look at me in shock. "Are you sure? It can't be! We haven't done 'it' before." He said quoting the 'it'. Before I knew it Joel was walking away. "I need some space and sometime to think about this." He said walking out the tower.

Joel's POV:
She's pregnant. This wasn't meant to happen. It wasn't planned. We aren't even dating. What am I going to do now?! I walked out of the tower away from what I was just told. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I needed time to myself and everything.

Your POV:
When he walked off let's just say I cried a bit grabbing the attention of the others that were in the tower with me. "Woah y/n! What's up?" Mouse asked placing an arm on my back. "It's- Joel stormed off after I said something to him. He's gonna hate me." I said shaking a bit. "First off I need you to take deep breaths for me. Do you want to tell me what went on? You don't have too." He said. "WellJoelandIwerentdrunkbutwewenttofarandletsjustsayitendedwithmenowbeingpregnantwithhischild." I said quickly. "I didn't catch a single thing of that. Say it slowly." Mouse said with a reassuring smile. "Well Joel and I weren't drunk but we went to far and let's just said it ended with me now being pregnant with his child." I said letting a tear slip. "But that's good news right?" He asked. I nodded my head. "It is and I'm happy to be a mum but seeing his reaction and him being like this has made me-." I explained. "No don't finish that. Give him time. He'll come around soon and if he doesn't then that's his loss for losing the beautiful mother of his unborn child and the child itself." Mouse explained hugging me. Mouse knows what to say. I thanked him hugging him and got to work.

I never saw Joel return to the tower for most of the day. It kinda tells me something. I sighed knowing the reality of the situation. I'm going to be a single mum raising my child by myself. Either way I'm going to be a single mum. I knew it would end like this I shouldn't of told him. God why am I so stupid?!

It's now been about 3/4months since I told Joel about being pregnant with his child and I've heard nothing from him. I haven't even seen him. I have a bump it's not big and not small but it's noticeable. Mouse has been helping me throughout so far sticking by my side. I've stopped working on the beach as in doing the rescues but I'm on tower duty instead. "Heard anything?" Mouse asked. "Nope. It's a shame. I'll just be doing this by myself which I'm ok with but I would've been nice to have a father figure in my child's life and the father of my child to help me through all this." I explained. "You've got this y/n I know you have. You'll be a great mum with or without Joel." Mouse said making me smile. "Thank you." I said giving him a hug. So sweet of him.

Mouse walked me out of the tower and said bye to me as I began to walk home. "Y/n!" I heard my name being shouted. I thought it was Mouse but I turned around seeing it wasn't Mouse. It was Joel. "Hey I've come to speak to you." He said catching up with me. We stopped and I turned fully to him. "What?" I said. "I want to be in my child's life." He said. "Well you made it pretty clear that you didn't want to. Not hearing from you for about 3/4 months then now you come out and tell me. I think not Joel." I said fuming. "But I'm the father to our child, surely you would want me to be in his or hers life." He explained. "Not anymore Joel. Mouse is more supportive and helping me than you are. I can't even look at you anymore! Oh and by the way we're having a girl." I said walking off back home and as I got in my house I burst into tears.

5 months later my sweet baby girl had been born. My mum and best friend, Y/b/f/n were there during the whole birth. Joel never contacted me after I told him I didn't want him to be in her life. I felt bad but now all I can think about is my beautiful daughter. I named her Riley. She's named that because ages ago before Joel and I did 'it' we asked one another what we would name our children and Riley was one of the names Joel picked out for a girl. I loved the name myself so I thought it would be perfect for our daughter.

I couldn't forgive Joel right away but sometime down the line I would have too. Riley is now 6 months old and the time has gone by fast. Joel still hasn't met his daughter yet so I thought I would bring her down to meet him for the first time and for him to finally meet her. Mouse has already met her a few times as he came to visit me in the hospital. Mouse met me by the tower giving me a side hug then taking Riley out from her baby car seat.

"Hey beautiful." He said making a smile pop on her lips. Mouse is so good with kids. We walked into the tower with Mouse still holding Riley. As we made it inside I placed the baby (car seat not sure what they're called) down by the desk and taking Riley from Mouse. I took a seat and before I knew it Joel walked into the tower. He stopped in his tracks when he saw me. He looked shocked and happy to see me. "I thought it was time for you to meet your daughter." I said standing up making my way to Joel even though he moved closer to me. I handed Riley over to him. He was a natural with her. At first she wasn't happy she cried a little but soon she felt safe and was happy. "Riley this is daddy. Your daddy is here to see you." I said stroking her cheek making her smile as she tried to laugh but only baby noises came out. "You named her Riley?" Joel questioned. I nodded my head. "It was a perfect name for our daughter." I said taking a seat. Joel slowly swayed from side to side and walked around a bit with Riley. I took some photos of the two of them. He looked amazing with her and it made me think about what's going to happen next. "I want you to be apart of her life Joel." I told him as I watched Riley smile while playing with his shirt. "I would love that too." He said kissing the top of her head.

A/n: I quite like this one. Shall I do a part 2 or leave it on the ending it already has?!

Also I'm English so some of the words may confuse you (depending) aha!
