Chapter 7

Jo pov

"I'm a watermelon" I say looking in the mirror as I try to button my pants.

Today I'm meeting Hero's family. I want to look presentable but it looks like none of my clothes want to fit me today.

I groan as I try to get my pants buttoned but they don't budge. My pregnant belly is in the way.

"How about you try a dress" hero says and I look at him annoyed

"Just leave me alone" I say meaner than I thought. My hormones make my mood swings crazy. I mainly take it out on Hero but he knows it's the pregnancy talking, not me.

"I will be in the kitchen. Do you want anything" he asks kissing my head before he leaves the room

"Does it look like I need food. I can barely fit into my clothes" I say and he sighs, walking out.

I look through my clothes and try on every pair of pants I have, none fit. I end up with a flow like, flower patterned dress.

I add cute comfy wedges and pick my hair up in a nice ponytail.

I walk into the kitchen to find hero eating a sandwich.

I open my mouth asking for a bite and he feeds me half of the sandwich.

I walk into his arms and he hugs me.

"Now you want to be nice" he chuckles

"It's the hormones. I'm sorry" I whisper

He kisses my head and lets me eat the rest of his sandwich.

"You look marvelous by the way. You always do" he says grabbing his car keys.

"Well I don't feel it" I say putting a hand on my pregnant belly.

"How am I supposed to finish filming the movie, looking like this" I tell him and he chuckles

"Anna said they are going to figure it out. Don't worry about that right now. Plus we're almost done with the film" he says and I nod

"Now let's go. My mom is so excited to see you. She won't stop texting me" he adds holding his hand out for me and I grab it as we walk out of his apartment and to his car.

"Oh hero, lovey. It's so good to have you home" his mom says embracing him as we walk in.

She lets go of Hero and turns to me.

"You must be Josephine" Hero's mom says with excited eyes

"Hi ma'am it's so nice to finally meet you" I say and she brings me in for a hug

"Please call me Martha" she says and I give her a smile

"Look at you" she says bending down to my belly.

"You're so big. How many months are you" she asks

"4 months. Close to 5" I say and she holds her hands together and smiles so big.

"What a beauty" she says

"Can I touch it" she asks and Hero sighs

"Okay mum, lets give jo so space" hero says and I giggle.

"It's okay. Here you can feel the baby moving" I say holding her hand and placing it on my belly.

She looks up at me with a smile and I give her one back.

"I am so happy for the two of you. I'm so excited to be a grandmother. My baby is having a baby" she says and hero chuckles

"Mum" hero says annoyed
