Chapter 18

Jo pov

I turn in bed and Hero's strong arms pull me close.

"Good morning love" he says kissing my head

"Good morning" I say giving him a small smile

Yesterday was my fathers funeral. It's been hard on everyone who was close to him, especially my mother.

Katherine came and left because of the film she's currently filming. Just because she left doesn't mean it's not as hard on her as it is for me.

I've been staying at my parents house to keep my mom company. Hero has been a big help with all of this.

"How are you feeling" he asks gently rubbing his arm up and down my back, comforting me.

"Feeling the best I can in this situation. This year hasn't been so kind" I whisper

"I'm here for whatever you need Jo" he says

"I know. I'm happy you're here. I'm happy I'm in your arms" I say

Today Hero's mum is flying in from London. Her and my mom got close when they first met, so she wants to do anything she can to help my mom.

My mom is happy she's coming, it'll give her someone to drink wine with.

"I love you so much" Hero says gently

"I love you too" I say leaning our foreheads together

He gently kisses me and I think he expects me to pull away because he's surprised by my return.

He holds my face and I allow him to kiss me back.

I run my hands up and down his chest and lift up his shirt. He gladly takes it off and returns to kissing me.

His hands run all over my body and I pull him down to loom over me.

"I don't want to get too carried away jo" he says

"I could use a distraction" I say

"Are you sure" he asks

"Please" I practically beg

He starts to lift up my shirt when the door to my room opens.

I cover my self with the sheets and Hero quickly hops off of me.

"Sorry to interrupt but I need your opinion on something" my mom says sitting on my bed, making herself comfortable

"Mom" I groan, putting my shirt back on and fixing my hair. Hero does the same.

"Oh honey, it's nothing I haven't seen you two do on the big screen" my mom says and I sigh

"What do you want" I ask her gently

"Do you think it's totally crazy to go on a cruise right now" she asks and I turn to Hero and shrug

"It's not crazy. I just wasn't expecting you to say that" I say

"Your fathers death has been hard on me but I could use a distraction. I need to be away from this house for awhile. What do you say? Come on a cruise with me? Hero your mother is all for it by the way" she asks and I giggle

"Hero has work" I say

"If this is something you really want to do. I'll call off work. I'll do this with you" he says and I give him a smile

"What the heck. Let's do it" I say and my mom cheers

"Great. We leave tomorrow" she says

"Tomorrow?" I question
