Chapter 39

Jo pov

After another three months of filming, finalizations and press Hero finally comes home today.

I planned a whole thing to announce to Hero a secret I have been holding onto for the past 3 months.

I just wanted to tell him in person.

All of our close friends and family know. It's just time for the father to find out.

I'm pregnant.

I mentioned it to Elle but I don't think she fully understands what mommy is growing a human inside of her and you're going to be a big sister really means.

I have a cute little shirt for Elle to wear that says big sister.

Then I made a small box with a onesie that says hello daddy and it has the pregnancy test in it and a picture of the ultra sound I went to last month.

The front door opens and Elle runs into her fathers arms.

"Daddy I missed you" she says and tears fill in my eyes

"Never leave for that long ever again" Elle says and her Hero chuckles

"I'm not going anywhere princess" he says kissing her head and coming over to me to hug me.

He pecks my lips and holds my waist.

"I've missed you" he says and I lay my head against his and take in this moment.

"I missed you so much" I say and he holds my face and kisses me again.

"Yucky" Elle says and I pull away laughing

Hero scoops elle into his arms and walks over to the living room.

"Peanut I got you something" he says to Elle and her eyes go wide

She turns to me with a smile and I nod.

Hero hands her a wrapped box and she opens it eagerly.

She pulls out a doll. She's been wanting this doll for so long but it's been sold out for such a long time. Hero happened to see it at a store in New York and snatch it right up.

"I love it. Thank you daddy" she says excitedly and hugs Hero.

"Of course peanut" he says

"Elle and I have something we want to tell you as well" I tell Hero and he looks at me confused

Elle runs to her room and grabs the box we made to tell Hero I'm pregnant.

She hands him the box and he looks up at me confused but excited.

"What's in here" he asks

"It's a surprise" Elle says jumping up and down

"Just open it" I say

I have no idea how he's going to act or what he's going to think. What if he doesn't want a baby right now?

We never plan these things.

I lean down with Elle and get ready to unzip her sweater to show him her shirt.

He opens the box and looks up at me with wide eyes.

"You're pregnant" he says standing to his feet, excitedly

"I'm three months" I say and he chuckles holding my waist and hugging me

"Looks like my time in New York did the trick" I say and he laughs again

"That was a fun time wasn't it" he says and I nod

"Very" I say

He gives me a small kiss and hugs me again.

"Are you happy" I ask him

"Are you kidding? I'm so excited" he says holding my waist

"Does Elle know" he asks and I nod

He looks down and reads her shirt and smiles.

"You're going to be such an amazing big sister" He says to Elle and picks her up.

"I can't believe you kept this a secret for so long" he says to me

"I wanted to tell you but I really wanted to do it in person" I say

"Well it was worth the wait" he says and holds a hand to my face and kisses me gently.

"I love you" he says

"I love you too" I say with a huge smile

"Hey what about me" Elle says innocently

"We love you so much" I say and attack her cheeks with kisses

Hero puts Elle down and she sits on the couch and plays with her new doll.

Hero puts a hand on my belly and I look down at it and smile

"I already have a small bump" He says and I giggle

"Yeah I feel like it's been growing faster than normal" I say

"Well I have been eating more" I add and he kisses my head

"Either way. You're so beautiful" he says and I lay my head on his chest.

Short chapter but I wanted to update
