Chapter 44

Jo pov

"So when are you going to let me take you out on a date Josephine" one of my new co stars Kyle ask as I walk off set and back to my dressing room.

I'm doing a huge film. My agents think this film will highlight my career and take me to Oscar nominations which I'm really excited about.

Hero was almost nominated for the film he did with savannah but didn't make the cut that time. I'm sure he will have opportunities in the future. We're not on the best terms but I only hope for good things to come his way.

I open the door to my trailer and let Kyle follow in.

"I'm not in the best spot in life to date right now. I have three babies at home, a toddler and a very confusing relationship with the father of my kids. My life is just a huge mess, I'm taking one day at a time" I tell him

"Let me be apart of that mess. I want to help. Please let me" he says holding my waist and I sigh

"That's so kind Kyle, but maybe another time. I really have a lot going on. For example, a 4 year old birthday party i'm trying to plan for my toddler who wants a unicorn and astronaut themed birthday party" I say

"So where's my invitation to the party, I make a great chaperone" he says and I giggle

"You're cute, you know that" I say and he holds a hand to my face and leans close to me.

"I like you jo" he whispers and kisses me

I hold a hand to his face and hungrily kiss him back.

It's been so long since I've been kissed.

He lifts me onto the vanity counter and quickly kisses my neck.

I run my fingers in his hair as he sucks gently on my collarbone.

We bring our lips back together and start making out.

He runs his hands under my shirt and I gently pull away and lay my head against the mirror.

He gives me some space and I cover my hands with my face.

"I'm sorry, it's just been a while" I whisper, wiping a few tears from my eyes

"No I'm sorry, I shouldn't have" he says and I shake my head no.

"It was nice" I say and he comes over to my side and holds my hands.

"I'm not going to hurt your jo" he says and I nod

"I know. I just need some time" I say pecking his lips, he holds a hand to my face and gently rubs it.

"We can go as slow as you want. I just want a chance with you, I would treat you so good" he says and I giggle

"You're sweet" I say and hug him

"You deserve someone who's going to treat you right" he says and I smile up at him

"You can come to the party" I whisper to him and he smiles

"But just as a friend. I can't give my kids the idea that you're my boyfriend or something. They are not ready for that" I say and he nods with excitement

"Whatever you say" he says and kisses me one more time

"I should get going. I have goodie bags to fill" I say hopping off the counter and we say our goodbyes.

I sit crossed legged on the carpet in the living room with Sarah as we fill goodie bags and drink wine.

Elle and the triplets are with Hero at his place. They will be here tomorrow for Elle's birthday.
