Chapter 22

Jo pov

I wake up to an amazing breakfast in bed made by Hero.

I place the plate on the side and bring him down to me and kiss him.

"You didn't have to do this" I say and he puts a strand of hair behind my ear and holds my face

"I just wanted to do something nice. You've been working so hard with the wedding and everything else in between" he says and I shake my head and smile at him

"How did I get so lucky" I say and he chuckles, leaning down to kiss me.

He quickly looms over me as we passionately kiss. His tongue slides with mine and I can't help but moan.

"Our mothers are right next door" he laughs into my neck

"It's nothing they haven't heard before from our movie" I say and he continues to laugh

I lean up and kiss his neck, moving to straddle his waist.

He puts his hands on my waist and I run mine up and down his chest. I lift up his shirt and leave small kisses all over his abs.

He lifts my face back to his and kisses me nice and long before pulling away.

"As much as I would love to continue this. I have to leave for my meeting with Jamie and the exec for that new movie I'm doing" he says and I groan, hopping off his waist and laying next to him

"I'm sorry" he chuckles turning to face me

"We can continue this later" he says leaving small kisses on my neck

"I'm in the mood now, like really in the mood. Can't you be a little late" I say wrapping my arms around his neck and he chuckles

"Love, you know I can't" he says and I sigh

"Fine" I say

"Have a good day with our moms and Sarah. I will see you tonight for cake tasting" he says giving me one last peck before he has to leave for work.

I'm chopping up some vegetables for our lunch and I start to feel really weird.

I take a slip of my glass of water and go back to cutting the veggies up.

"Jo, did you hear me" my best friend Sarah asks and I turn to her

"I'm sorry, I'm not feeling so great. What was that" I ask her and my mom comes over to me

"What's the matter sweetheart" my mom ask and I start to feel very lightheaded

"I think I'm going to pass out" I say placing the knife down.

"Let's take a seat then" my mom says

I take a step from where I'm standing and I feel myself going down. Everything instantly becomes black.

"What happened" Hero says running to my side.

I randomly passed out so I was rushed to the hospital.

Once I was conscious again, I told my mom it was stupid of me to be here but she insisted I needed to get checked out.

"She fainted" Martha, Hero's mom says

"What does that mean? What did the doctor say" he questions, turning to me

"He did some test, we're waiting for the results" I say and he cups my face and pecks my lips

"I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner. I had my phone off during the meeting. I was scared half to death once I knew you were being rushed to the hospital" he says and I giggle
