Dion POV:

I had to get out of state.

News of Jason was spreading like wildfire across the city. Pictures of his dismembered limbs and blood covered the street in a multitude of images and articles about the "Poor Lost Soul's Suicide". I rolled my eyes at the title on my screen as I scrolled further down the article.

"At 5 am this morning, a pile of human remains was found at the bottom of a tall skyscraper. There have been no found witnesses but the people passing were heavily disturbed at the gory scene above.

The man's body seemed to completely combust on impact, leaving no recognizable characteristics but police have notified us that a DNA test will be taken in order to figure out this man's identity."

I smile at the idea of his blood painting the dirty concrete red and filling the drains, each drop of his blood mixing with sewage.

Shitty just like he was.

Jocelyn's eyes watched me curiously as she peeked at me from over her phone, "What you watching?" She mocks in my voice and I send her a small glare, "You not off the hook for teasing me.. and I'm looking at New York." She giggles softly as she rolls over to face me, "Why New York.. Are you leaving?" Her smile slowly dropped to a pout as she eyed my phone warily.

She was another reason we had to leave. Being stuck in this apartment with her being sexy was dangerous. I don't know how the hell she keep talking down about herself. What hoe you know built like this and got this personality?

None nigga.

She don't even realize how perfect she is and that shit be blowin me. Make that bitch, Alicia, look like straight trash (which she Is). One second she's asking me on a date an the next she cussin me out for ignoring her texts. She even threatened to bang down my door and we both know she might just be crazy enough to do that shit.

My stomach dropped at the idea of my girl being stuck in that apartment with that woman. I don't even know how long Jocelyn had to deal with her.

My eyes moved to Jocelyn as she watched me carefully, looking like a kicked puppy, "Dion?" She looks down to her fingers as she nervously played with her nails, "If you leave, where am I going to go?.. I-I don't wanna be alone and I can't go back to Alicia.. She's still not okay yet." Her voice dropped to a whisper as she looked back up at me, "I-I'm not trying to bother you but I'm lost.." My chest tightened at her glassy eyes and I couldn't help but reach out and pull her into my chest. She didn't even hesitate to wrap her arms around me and press her face into my chest, "You coming wit me, dummy.. Why would I leave you?" I look down at her and she refuses to look up as she shrugs lightly, relief all over her face as her lips lifted into a small smile.

"It's gone be cold and crowded.. There are a lot of people and I don't want you panicking.." I watch as she nods her head slowly, "I'll be okay." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she peeked back up at me. I couldn't help planting a kiss on her forehead before letting her go, "We leavin in.." I look at the time on my phone, "an hour." Her head popped up as her smile almost ripped her face in half, "We can visit a whole lot of places like the Toys R Us thingey and then go to Times Square!" Her eyes sparkled as she looked back at me, like a kid in a candy shop.

I smile, "Toys R Us is in Times Square, Lyn. And we gon' be close so I don't mind going back." She squeals excitedly as she climbs out of bed, heading towards the closet, "I don't think I brought my heavy coat.." she mumbles softly and I get up, walking into the closet with her, "You can just wear one of mine." She raised a brow before looking back in the closet, "It's not gonna fit." She said in a duh one and I roll my eyes before reaching in the back and grabbing my old coat, "Yes it will. C'mere." I unzipped it and held it open for her. She huffed softly but slipped her arms in the sleeves, "Told you!" She stepped back and I look at her confused, "Whatchu mean?" I point to the sleeves that were too big and the length of the coat that was far lower than her hips.

"I can't zip it." She pouts and I shake my head, "You ain't even try." I grab the zipper and start to close the jacket only to stop at her chest, "Suck them jawns in." I chuckle and her cheeks blushed as she reached up to press them into her chest. I could barely hold in my laugh as I finish sipping it up. She looked angry as she reached for the zipper, "I can't breathe!" She whined and I roll my eyes, "Stop bein a brat.. It's warm and tight so the wind won't fuck you up." She pouted nonetheless and sighed dramatically as she stretched her arms, "But my chest is tight.. What if I pass out from the lack of air?!" She whined louder making me hold back my laugh as I keep a straight face, "Take it off for now but when we get there, you puttin' it straight back on." I could feel her wanting to argue but she only huffed as she unzipped it, mumbling softly under her breath.

"You wanna say that louder?" I give her a side eye and watch her eye me back, a cute pout sitting on her lips. She shakes her head no and turns back to her side of the closet, grabbing her clothes and stuffing them in her duffle bag, her nose scrunching with her attitude. I could tell she was complaining in her head as her facial expressions changed and her body language became full of attitude as her head bobbed with the words in her head. I could tell by the movement she was cursing my ass up and down.

I couldn't even be mad. I was the exact opposite as I watched her move around the bedroom. She went from this shy girl who would stand against walls silently and watch her shoes to a fine ass woman wit an attitude. She developed her own personality and I won't lie and say I'm not excited to see what it's all about.
