Word Count: 2400

Waking up surrounded by snow and being helped by a gang of outlaws was already a shocking situation to find yourself in but what was even more shocking was that it was 1899. Not only did you find yourself 100 years in the past, you actually recognised the men and women that filled the camp you were taken to.

Surely, you had to be dreaming, or in a come, or maybe you were dead. There was no way you were actually in the video game Red Dead Redemption 2, it was impossible. However after spending so much time in Colter, you considered that it was actually very much possible.

After all, here you were. Listening to Dutch's speeches, having the women check on you and making sure you were comfortable, comforting Sadie over the lost of her husband and home, checking on John's wounds from time to time, arguing with Micah, and crushing on the one and only Arthur Morgan.

Yes, you had a little crush on the character when you were playing the video game but now that he was real, it was hard to not fall absolutely head over heels in love with him.

You still didn't understand how or why you were here but you thought that you might as well accept it and try to integrate yourself. You had told them the truth about who you were, that you were from the future. Somehow, you managed to get them to believe you.

But you never told them that they were from a video game or that you knew anything about them, you thought that could be damaging.

You still thought about it a lot though. One night you had been kept awake by thoughts of the game and the sequence of events that occurred but you managed to convinced yourself that maybe things would be different this time, after all if was just a game. But...here you were, it wasn't a game anymore.

Then things started getting familiar as you moved from Colter to Horseshoe Overlook. You watched things happen that you had already seen, listened to conversations you had already heard word for word, nothing was changing, everything would go on as planned and you were the only one who knew, you were the only one who could stop it.

You had been at Horseshoe Overlook for a little while now and you were still thinking over some sort of plan of action. You knew that you still had some time to think, nothing irreversible happens until the gang moves to Clemen's point, right? Maybe if you could just change small things, you could change everything. At least that's what you hoped.

When you weren't worrying about changing the fate of the Van der Linde gang, you were spending time with Arthur. The two of you had gotten close since you met in Colter. He had been helping you adjust to the time, teaching you what you needed to know like riding and horse and shooting a gun, but more importantly he was being your friend. None of this was helping your feelings for him.

Noticing that Arthur was preparing his horse, you wandered over to him. "Going somewhere?" you asked as you approached from behind him.

"Gotta collect a debt for Strauss" Arthur told you with a sigh, not fond of the job he had been tasked with.

"A debt? From who?" you asked, a sudden sense of dread swirling in your stomach.

"Eh, someone called Thomas Downes. A farmer, I think, shouldn't be too difficult" Arthur shrugged, testing the security of his saddle.

"Don't go" you blurted out before you could think.
