Eliana's POV:

I was ten years old again.

Lucille came at me with a wooden spoon. I'd said something that made her mad. All I'd said was that I was hungry and asked when dinner was and she exploded.

She chased me around the kitchen and I ducked into my secret area in the closet and tried hiding my scent. I'd started trying to master the art of masking it so Lucille couldn't find me.

Shrill screams sounded and it took me more than a moment to realize they were my own.

Evan and Dad rushed into my room and Dad asked, "Ella, what's wrong?"

"Lu... Lucille. S-She was hurting me."

"Eliana, Lucille's not here. She's not gonna hurt you. I won't let her. Not again. Evan won't either. Come here, sweetheart."

Evan and Dad hugged me as I shook from the memory.

EXT. BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL

The school bell rang and I looked around for fear that Lucille would find me again. She'd done so once and she could definitely do so again. Peppermint, unfortunately, tends to be a distinct smell.

Scott started panting and Stiles said, "Hey. Hey, you all right? Ella, you all right? You don't look all right, Scott, Ella."

"I'm okay," Scott replied.

I nodded. "Mm-hmm."

"No, you two aren't," Stiles noted. "It's happening to you both too. You're both seeing things, aren't you?"

"How'd you know?" Scott and I asked, glancing at each other.

"Because it's happening to all four of you," Lydia said. "Well, well, look who's no longer the crazy one."

Allison frowned. "We're not crazy."

"Hallucinating? Sleep paralysis? Triggering nightmares? Yeah, you guys are fine."

"We did die and come back to life," Scott reminded her. "That's gotta have some side effects, right?"

I crossed my arms and looked at my strawberry blonde-haired friend. "Lydia, be nice."

The school bell rang again.

Stiles looked between us. "We keep an eye on each other. Okay? And Lydia, stop enjoying this so much."

"What?" Lydia questioned.

Scott, Stiles and I entered class to see an Asian man.

He started class. "Good morning, everyone. My name is Mr. Yukimura. I'll be taking over for your previous history teacher. My family and I moved here three weeks ago. I'm sure, by now, you all know my daughter, Kira. Or you might not since she's never actually mentioned anyone from school. Or brought a friend home for that matter." He sighed. "Either way, there she is. Now, let's begin with American History at the turn of the 20th century."

Scott glanced between me and Stiles. "Maybe we need a little more time to get back to normal."

"Yeah, try not to forget we hit the reset button on a supernatural beacon for supernatural creatures," Stiles reminded him. "There's a pretty good chance things are never going back to normal."

"Yeah," Scott and I agreed.

"What?"

"I thought you said you wanted to make friends," Mr. Yukimura said, looking at his daughter.

"Not like that," Kira replied.

"You said you wanted to be noticed."

"I could set myself on fire and be noticed."
