George and Ginny showed up for lunch one afternoon, Maeve showed them around her house. She showed them all their barns and enchanted rooms with some of their creatures. Her house was exactly how they expected it. Not only did they have so many animals but the house just screamed her aesthetic, it was cluttered and all over the place but it was still fitting and nice to look at. Everything had a place. When George was walking around her room, he noticed his letters, and then one letter signed "F".
"I haven't written back yet." She leaned against the door frame. "Not sure what to say, I miss you too. I never stop thinking about you. It hurts being away from you more than you kissing that girl." She looked tired. He noticed her eyes, it was very obvious that she wasn't sleeping. She also seemed smaller, she didn't seem like herself. He was finally seeing her in real life, and not picturing her smiling as she wrote the letters he got all summer. He just pictured prime Maeve.
"I hate myself you know. That I let a boy do this to me. I mean I'm an independent woman, I'm smart, I take care of animals up to 10x my size. But your brother! He's just... he" she couldn't finish, she just fell back on her bed. "he mad me a better version of myself, he added something, something I was missing." George noticed a tear fall, but she caught it.
He sat down next to her, " I think you should write him back." He placed a hand on her knee, "He's just as lost as you are." He looked back at her. She sat up and placed her head on his shoulder, "Okay, I'll write to him tonight." She got up placed out her hand and pulled the boy up with a grunt, "you got bigger Georgie, let's go save Ginny from my mom."
