𝙳𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚊𝚏𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚖 𝚖𝚎 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜, 𝙸 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 <𝟹

Harry stared at Y/N with wide eyes. How was that possible? His only friend somehow managed to be a witch! 

Y/N turned away from Harry getting into a boat with 3 other students. She couldn't quite process it, Harry was a wizard? It was too much of a coincidence.

The boats moved gently on the lake, the stars were clearly visible as they sparkled lighting up the sky. Y/N gaped when she saw the castle beginning to appear. 

Almost every student watched in admiration saying "woah" and "wow"

The boat ride didn't take very long, but every second of it felt incredible. Once the boats had stopped at the edge of the lake, everyone stepped out and  Y/N immediately scanned the crowd for Harry.

It didn't take long since Harry was walking directly at her still with a mild shocked expression on his face.

"Y/N! I thought you were going to that boarding school?"  Harry said as the two walked to the castle entrance with the group. 

"And I thought you were going to a school for criminal boys?" Y/N said raising her eyes brows.

"Er- sorry Hagrid said I couldn't tell anyone" Harry said scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Me too, Professor McGonagall told me that" Y/N said. They walked into the castle, all the first years walked staring up at the castle in amazement, it was truly beautiful.

They walked up the stairs leading to the great hall where Professor McGonagall stood at the top of the stairs with a smile.

"Welcome to Hogwarts" she said. 

"Hello" a red headed boy said walking up next to Y/N. Y/N smiled at the boy.

"Welcome to Hogwarts, now in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates, but before you can take your seats you will be sorted into your houses"

A chill ran through Y/N's body.

"They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Now while you're here your house will be like your family, your triumphs will earn you points, any rule breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup-"

"TREVOR!" A boy shouted leaping forwards to catch a toad. "Er- sorry" he said moving back to the crowd.

"The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily" Professor McGonagall said and then walked away.

"My brother's said we have to fight a troll to get sorted" the ginger haired boy said.

"I heard that too" Y/N said.

"Really?" Harry asked looking somewhat frightened. 

"Hardly" a voice said approaching them. "It's very unlikely that professors at a school would children who have yet to learn magic against a deadly troll" the bushy haired girl said.

The ginger haired boy rolled his eyes and crossed his arms in annoyance.

"So it's true then? What they're saying on the train, Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts" Draco said leaning against the railing with his friends.

"Harry Potter?" People murmured. Y/N looked at him in confusion. Why did everyone know Harry?

"This is Crabbe and Goyle, and I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy"
