Chaper V: Operation Flyer

JOINING THE Plasma Operation also means that Y/n and Cosmo needs to part ways with their self proclaimed family member, the Master Flyer, Swift. Like what everyone would always say, "Parting is such sweet sorrow." It truly was sorrowful, Y/n and Cosmo were feeling blue, as well as Swift. But, the said flyer reassured them that they'll see each other some time soon. Despite feeling sad, the two tried to ease their sadness and agreed with Swift.

The Lluminarians were still at Wingarden Town, Swift and Zephyrus already left to the Air Force Training Camp. Y/n was a little bit worried, back then, she didn't talk to her classmates. She usually just nods or shake her head as an answer, but, she was now on the frontlines. She really needs to be able to communicate with them without talking. She was currently working on a spell that will allow her to communicate with others in a non-verbal way. She was always working on her non-verbal spells when she arrived at Aero.

It was difficult, but, Y/n loved a good challenge.

As soon as she agreed to join the operation, she was soon told by Commander Kokoci and Admiral Tarung to follow them. Y/n quietly obeyed as Cosmo was stuck to her side. The elf listened attentively to the high-ranked TAPOPS members who explained to her the situation as they walk in front of her. "Junior Flyer F/n, we understand that you are new to this kind of mission. Since you're new, we know you haven't tried flying a ship in outer space."

"But, that stops now."

Y/n turns to the TAPOPS Commander with a glint of curiosity within her eyes from behind her mask. "Starting from now, you'll be soaring through space as you will be piloting ship A110. You'll board along with a few TAPOPS members that will be joining the Plasma Operation, understand?" Admiral Tarung continued as he side eyed the elf. Y/n nodded as she saluted. "Yes, F/n and I are ready to help TAPOPS for the operation!" Cosmo cheerfully beamed.

"Good- Ah, looks like we're here," Commander Kokoci said as he smiled, turning to Y/n. The girl gazed at the scenery before her eyes. An enormous grey and white coloured spaceship was in front of her. 'Now, that is a sight for sore eyes,' she thought to herself admiringly. This ship was nothing like the ships she usually pilots, it was utterly gigantic, she hoped the controls weren't that complicated. Commander Kokoci and Admiral Tarung led Y/n and Cosmo to the spaceship.

Oddly enough, Y/n thought the said Admiral was being nice and hospitable to her. It was like he had a split personality, his strict demanour changed to a very polite and nice one. He began to ramble how it was already time to eat lunch, the elf just glanced at Cosmo in confusion whom just shrugged in responce. Y/n's eyes darted from the walls of the spaceship, studying every single detail of her new environment. Her eyes dilated as soon as her eyes landed at the navigation room. Letting out a sigh of amazement, she saw Cosmo from the corner of her eyes─somehow snickering at her.
