Chapter LXV: Ambush

THE SPEED MANIPULATOR glanced at her best friend in worry, it's been a while since the elemental superhero ran inside the building and everyone was getting concerned the more time passed by. That was when their commander suddenly emerged from the building with a look of absolute disbelief and a frown which was a sign that something was wrong. Yaya clasped her hands together as she walked closer to their higher-up, pursing her lips before she spoke.

"Commander, any news? What's going on inside?" Her voice was laced with pure distress. This earned the attention of the rest of the teenage superheroes' attention right away. After they had heard that Boboiboy rushed inside the crumbling old Aeroan-Lluminarian architecture that was getting destroyed by the Llumimarian guards, they wanted to follow him but the higher-ups told them it was too dangerous inside. 

All they could only do was hope that he was alright. "The reason he entered the building…" Kokoci reluctantly began, clenching his fists. "He said he wanted to save Y/n," He confessed breathlessly, making everyone look at him with surprised expressions. "What!? She's inside!?" Gopal shrieked at this truth, stepping into the group with a tense figure. Fang and Ying who were standing beside each other shared a worried glance before looking back at the alien.

"What's been going on inside then, Y/n didn't show up the whole morning. Something must have gone wrong," Ying caressed her chin while she was deep in thought. "Do you think he found her already? We could follow him inside," The gravitational manipulator dropped her hands, getting ready to use her flight abilities. This suggestion caused their commander to shake his head in disagreement, refusing to permit them to enter.

"I don't think he wanted you all to follow him. It's too dangerous for many people to go in, one is enough. The place is also blocked by newer debris just now, you won't be able to enter and if you move the rocks, it could cause a serious and bigger problem. More of them could collapse," He clarified straightforwardly, pushing his sunglasses up. He might have made a point but that didn't make them less comfortable and concerned about their missing friends.

"T-then what should we do? We can't just keep waiting here," Gopal stuttered, still unable to comprehend all of the things happening to them at once. "Hm," Commander Kokochi hummed audibly, caressing his chin while he was deep in thought. "Commander!" The familiar masculine voice of a certain Aeroan managed to catch their attention right away the moment he came out from the building.

"Huh? Oh my goodness!" Yaya snapped her head in the direction of the Aeroan Master Flyer who seemed to have his hands full. He rushed, emerging from the fragile yet demolished architecture that they once used as the camp for their revolutionary team. In his arms, laid a divine entity, the Lluminarian leader of the counter team, Mayumi. All concerned eyes reached her figure, noticing how she looked more pale than usual as if the life was sucked out of her.
