After countless of months of training you officially had a opportunity to be a part of one of the Survey Corp's legendary teams. As much as you hate to admit it, you were nervous to see in what group/category you were in. You had done well in every task that was assigned to you and even received compliments by both your peers and supervisors, but you also feared you got a bad rep for hanging with your gang. Your group of friends tended to be the most loudest and energetic team which would draw a lot of attention during training. Sometimes you would get scolded even though for the most part it was Connie or Sasha's fault. Thankfully, their skills made up for their goofing around so you were never in big trouble besides the fact that your group just doesn't know how to simply shut up. Jean and you were always trying to make them shut up, but it always seemed impossible. There were even times where you would give in and join in the fun, but would earn a hard glare from Jean as he tried to act like the leader of the group. YEAH RIGHT IN HIS DREAMS

As the evening started to set in, everyone headed to the mess hall to see where they were assigned to. You took your sweet time, dragging your feet as you feared to see what was waiting for you. Sasha was linked to your arm and didn't seem to mind your slow pace, instead she just chucked down the potato she had in her hand slowly to savor the flavor. The potato smell reached your nostrils, breaking away your thoughts as you focus on the present and what was happening around your surroundings.

Sasha looked at you and beamed "Shall we find out together or should we wait for the boys?".

You thought about it and decided it was best to see results together as a group, after all you did all the training together anyways. Plus they were your best friends and you'd like to celebrate the moment together wether it'd be a bad one or a good one.

"PSSHHHHHHHHHHHTTTT"

Both your head and Sasha's head shot up trying to follow the annoying sound you recognized.

"I SAID......PPPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Suddenly, everyone's heads snapped towards the annoying sound to find a smiling Connie with an embarrassed Jean on his side. Connie took a look at his surroundings, confused on why everyone was staring at him. Maybe he whispered too loudly?

"WHAT?!" he asked looking at everyone

Everyone just looked away and went back to minding their own business.

As you approached them and greeted them, Jean hugged you which you quickly rejected and pushed away from.

"SERIOUSLY, LET IT GO" he started.

"NO"

"I SAID I WAS SORRY"

"YOU CRUSHED MY POOR RIBS!"

"YOUR LITERALLY OVER EXAGGERATING AS ALWAYS!" whined Jean.

Turns out that time when he had hugged you after worrying where you went on the last day of stable duty resulted in Jean literally bruising your ribs from how hard he had hugged since he had applied so much pressure to the bruises you already had from the fight between you and Mikasa. You gave him a glare and he sighed defeated. You happily smiled and held out your fist so he can bump it instead.

As the room finally filled, you sat and waited patiently next to your friends. A door opened and the room fell in silence. Erwin Smith had made his entrance. He set himself up to the podium and went one with his speech about Survey Corps and what we stand for. As much as you enjoyed your Commander's motivation speech, you couldn't help but drift off into space, your head once again filling with millions of questions. As you snapped back to reality, your brain focused on one question. WILL MY FRIENDS BE WITH ME BY MY SIDE?!

You had totally forgot, that after this your friends and you were gonna be separated. You didn't want that, making friends was no problem, but you couldn't bare not seeing your best friends fighting along side with you in the battlefield. WHAT IF THEY NEED MY HELP AND I'M NOT THERE TO SAVE THEM?! You wanted to always be there for your friends, and help aid them. They were your family and you would be completely devastated to see one of them go.

Your attention focused back to Erwin, he now stood with three other individuals. They were introduced as Mike, Hange and of course...Levi. Each gave an intro about themselves and what they expect if you were to be added to their group. You couldn't help, but shake with nerves as both Mike and Levi talked with stern flat voices. They honestly scared the fuck out of you. When it was Hange's turn, she immediately killed the boring atmosphere and lit up the room entirely with her loud persona. You liked her, she reminded you a lot of your friends and you couldn't help but smile as she went on rambiling about experimenting and titans. You were sincerely hoping that if you were to be in anyones group it'd be her's. As the meeting was heading to a closed, no names or positions were announced which made you question. As Erwin started to fix up his papers, Levi stood behind him facing the wall. You titled your head a bit to see what he was up to and found him sticking pieces of paper up. As soon as the officials walked out of the room, every cadet scrambled to take a look of what was put up there. Many came out with sad looks on their faces, which only grew your nerves even more. You were sitting there biting your nails furiously. Connie did not hesitate to grab you by your hand along with the others and drag you all to the front to see. You scanned for your last name along the papers, and there it was in black ink

"L/N, F/N - Hange's Squad"

You smiled with relief. You got Hange! Just what you wanted. You continue to scan the paper hoping you see at least one of your friends in the same group as you. As your eyes scrolled down, you found the last name ending in K.

"Kirstein, Jean -Hange's Squad"

You couldn't help but smile staring at the name. You had one of your friends to share the battlefield with, to protect. You felt eyes on you and you turn to find Jean staring at you, smiling like a fool.

PLEASE DONT FORGET TO VOTE AND COMMENT, I'D LOVE TO SEE IF YOUR ENJOYING IT SO FAR!
