"Well that wasn't personal at all," Jeno stated sarcastically, standing up from his drums and moving over to his water bottle to replenish his thirst.

The others followed suit, leaving their instruments— having to recollect themselves as their minds tried to process the lyrics.

"Who knew Miss Aeri's voice was just as good as her song writing," Chenle teased, patting her shoulders as he walked past her to the yellow couch. Aeri made a face at him, clearly unamused by his compliment.

"Jisung do you need a bandaid?" Donghyuck asked, throwing a heavy arm over the younger's neck— bringing him into a chokehold. Jisung fought against him, pushing his arms away but to no avail, he stayed stuck in the Lee's arms.

"Why would I need a bandaid?" The blonde hissed in annoyance, giving one large push to the male's forearm and finally escaping. He quickly straightened his posture, patting down his wrinkling shirt. As he looked up from the material, he noticed the numerous pairs of eyes on him.

"I don't know, I figured your ego and pride would be ripped to shreds right now?" Donghyuck chuckled, his laughter mixing with those of the other boys— leaving the youngest to huff irritably.

"Haha, very funny. And no, it's not that torn up," He mumbled the last part, but the others had still heard him, clearly as day.

They rolled their eyes at his nonchalant attitude, and shook their heads before turning their attention back to their lead singer.

"You can't hide the fact you wrote it about him," Jaemin teased, bringing her closer into a tight side hug— to which she struggled in his arms before ultimately giving up and falling weak to his secure limbs. Aeri sighed tiredly in his hold, and leant her head back onto his chest, knowing that he wouldn't let go anytime soon, so she might as well enjoy it.

"And? He's written plenty songs about me," She countered, trying to play it off coolly that she dedicated a song to him, and many other more of her  originals, but internally, her heart was on overdrive. She had never imagined a day where she would sing it in his presence— especially with him playing as a guitarist.

Instead, she envisioned herself being older, possibly in her late twenties, her long hair to her shoulders and her skin grown more into. She'd be a top selling artist, and people would stop her on the streets to get a picture or signature, and that would be the time she'd release the sacred songs she wrote about him.

It would be when he wouldn't have guessed it was about their deep, but horribly ended love story, but perhaps about some other guy who was graced with the opportunity to sweep her off her feet. It'd be so late in the future that maybe, he would've turned on the radio of the car he's always wanted, and come across the song naturally.

He'd bop his head, possibly sing to it as well, but he wouldn't know that the person singing the sweet tune, was the girl who owned the heart he had held and stomped on.

She wished it was that way, that they never had the chance to cross paths again. But obviously, fate had other things in store for them.

"One of the many downsides of dating and being a musician," Aeri grumbled, earning a ruffle of her hair by Jeno, who could only smile down at her reassuringly— as she was still pressed against Jaemin's chest.

"I really liked your song though," He grinned lightly, his eyes adorably forming into small crescents.

At this, the brunette couldn't help but mirror his sweet actions, smiling back at him. "Thanks Jen," She cooed, reaching her hand up stiffly, patting his cheek endearingly.

"Don't worry, Sung, I'm immune to her charms," Chenle stated proudly, referring to the others that had become hypnotized by Aeri's cute actions.

"Chenle!" She called for him, and immediately the chinese tensed.

"Well on second thought," His dark haired began to bounce erratically as he skipped in her direction, leaving the Park to scrunch his face in bewilderment.

"What is this?" He grunted, unamused by the boys that crowded her.

"Aeri's platonic soulmate roster, obviously," Donghyuck enveloped Jaemin and Aeri in a large group hug— Jeno following suit, then Chenle.

The group erupted into a fit of laughter, as they jumped around happily— clearing the atmosphere of the previous tension caused by the song.

"You guys are crazy," Jisung shook his head as his eyes fell to his feet. He tried to purse his lips, but he couldn't help but to allow his deep laughter to fall from his tongue— the situation presented in front of him being too ridiculous to not laugh.

Aeri stiffened, hearing his deep chuckle flow melodically into her ears. It felt as if it's been eternities since she heard that genuine laugh that her heart had oddly clenched in her chest.

Her giggling faltered as she refocused on the small
smile and happy gleam in his eyes that peaked out from his blonde bangs. And as his laughter began to grow, from Donghyuck's constant jokes, it muted quickly as Mark had called his name and weirdly Aeri's as well.

"Jisung, Aeri! I need to talk to you about something," Mark reentered the basement, simultaneously stuffing his phone into his back pocket, seemingly just ending a phone call.

Everyone's eyes directed to the pair, all anticipating for any explanation to why it was them two only.

"So are we invited to the party or no?" Donghyuck asked, but Mark's pursed lips had already answered the question before others could ask as well.

"Sorry, I have to talk to them privately first,"

"What is this secrecy? I am hurt, and beyond betrayed!" Jaemin cried dramatically , begrudgingly releasing Aeri from his hug, along with the others as she inched towards Mark alongside Jisung.

"For now, just focus on planning the video," Mark tried to ease their curiosity by changing the topic, and luckily Jaemin's acting had quickly been replaced by his motherly tone as he ordered Chenle to bring him a notebook and pen.

"I'm gonna make this video the best anyone has seen!"
