Chapter 132: Escort

Y/N POV

Within the box was one of the most beautiful, most detailed, and stunning dresses I'd ever seen. I had enough money for a lifetime of luxurious dresses, but I don't usually bother to buy many unless I see fit. I think that's why I find it funny whenever he decides to pamper me with nice things. Sometimes I think he forgets I'm rich but chooses to shower me with gifts and surprises anyways.

Resting on top of the soft fabric was yet another, small paper note. I brushed my hand over the fabric, before reaching for the note. I slowly picked it up, holding it closer to my face for a better view of the contents of its writing.

               'I'm sure changing at work isn't ideal, but by the time you've gotten this, I'm sure I'd already told you that I would pick you up from work out of habit. If you'd prefer to change at home then meet me for dinner afterward, call Johnny or Yuta to pick you up before 9:20 pm. I've left each of their numbers on the back of this note if you decide to have either of them be your escorts.

            I thought the color and design of this one would suit you well. I'll see you tonight, beautiful.'

I smiled at the note, almost wanting to laugh at how he'd prewritten it before seeing me this morning. His handwriting was neat, and sometimes a bit rough. It was easy to tell when he wrote while being rushed and writing while being calm. It's very distinct to me.

I set the note aside, gently pulling the elegant dress up from the box. I couldn't take my eyes off of it, and could hardly wait to get it on. I glanced down at the clock to see how much time I had before needing to meet with Jaehyun.

8:23 pm. If I rush home, I should have barely enough time to shower and get myself ready for this evening.

I nodded to myself, preparing to take my leave.

I slipped on the dress, the length of it gently brushing the tops of my feet as the ends of it merely touched the ground. I stepped in front of the mirror, taking a moment to admire myself, and the dress upon me. It was truly the most beautiful thing I've ever worn, and you could tell it was custom-made. I'm not sure how that dimpled flirt figured out my dress size, but it fit perfectly. The fabric was soft underneath my fingertips, and it flowed elegantly with the movement of my walk.

Everything was perfect.

Finally, after so long of not being able to take a single breather, he and I can take the time we've been waiting for ourselves. It was now 9:15, and I was only waiting for Johnny, my supposed chauffeur to show up. As if he could read my mind, there was a knock at my front door. I opened it to be greeted with not only Johnny but Yuta also.

"Ms. Kang," Johnny and Yuta greeted together in unison.

Both of them flashed sweet, polite smiles upon seeing me.

"Mr. Suh, Mr. Nakamoto," I returned, grinning at them also.

"Mr. Japan over here couldn't help but tag along also," Johnny jokingly complained. "Everyone at the mansion was curious about the dress Jae had gotten you, and it surely didn't disappoint."

Yuta's eyes were wide as he elbowed Johnny.

"He really went all out this time, didn't he? Gosh, I didn't think he was capable of having such emotions-"

He was cut off by Johnny glaring at him. Yuta cleared his throat before rewording his former statement.

"You look very nice tonight, Angel. It's just new to see this new side of Jaehyun."

"You've truly brought out the best in him," Johnny nodded.

I couldn't help but smile at their statements. I exhaled a light sigh as the three of us linked arms on our way to the car.

"Should I have high expectations for tonight?" I asked as I slipped into the back seat, and adjusted my dress.

"Very high expectations," Johnny smiled through the rearview mirror.

Oh? I can't wait to see what he's got planned then...
