Namjoon Pov

I gazed at the members gathered around me. "I'll stay with her," I declared, met with unanimous nods of agreement.

Shortly after, Taehyung entered the room, his arrival drawing our collective attention.

"What's going on? You all look like you're ready to pounce," he quipped, prompting a heavy sigh from me.

Noticing Y/n asleep on his bed, he questioned, "Why is she on my bed? Where am I supposed to sleep?" I scoffed in response. "Taehyung, she's running a high fever. Let's not argue about this now. You can sleep on my bed if you want," I offered.

"In your bed? Then where will you sleep?" he countered. "On the couch," I replied, gesturing towards his seating area. "But the couch won't be comfortable for you," he protested.

"Well, Y/n managed without complaint," I pointed out. "And besides, I doubt you have the time to take care of her, so I'll handle it," I added sarcastically, hoping to elicit some remorse.

He sighed, remaining silent for a moment before reluctantly agreeing, "Fine, I'll sleep on the couch tonight, and I'll take care of Y/n." His demeanor suggested a hint of remorse, though his actions toward Y/n still seemed callous. Nevertheless, I smiled as I approached him.

"Alright then, I trust you this time," I reassured him, patting his shoulders. With a nod, he gathered some pillows and a blanket, making his way to the couch as the rest of us left the room.

Taehyung's POV

I had no desire to care for Y/n, but I couldn't bear the thought of Namjoon also sleeping uncomfortably on the couch. Sure, I couldn't care less about Y/n, but the members mattered to me, so I relented—for their sake, not hers... I guess.

Glancing at Y/n peacefully asleep, I found myself smiling involuntarily before quickly masking my expression. I extinguished the light and settled in for the night.

As the night wore on, sleep eluded me despite numerous attempts. By 2 A.M., frustration began to set in. My bed, my sanctuary, was now occupied by her. I closed my eyes, attempting to drift off, only to be jolted awake by strange sounds—Y/n's labored breathing.

I sprang from the bed and approached her, finding her in distress, muttering incoherently. "Y/n," I called softly, offering a comforting touch. She stirred but didn't fully awaken. As she reached for water, I inquired about her nightmare, receiving a curt dismissal in return. I scoffed, regretting my assistance. She was an ungrateful brat. Resolving to ignore her, I returned to bed.

The morning alarm interrupted my restless slumber. I silenced it and glanced at Y/n still asleep. Shrugging, I descended to the lower floor.

"Taehyung, how is Y/n? Has her fever subsided? Will she join us for breakfast?" Jin bombarded me with inquiries. "She's still asleep," I replied, prompting Jin and Namjoon to check on her.

Namjoon's POV

Jin and I entered Taehyung's room to find Y/n still resting. Feeling her forehead, I noted with relief that her fever had diminished significantly. Checking her temperature confirmed this improvement.

"100°F," I muttered, relieved. Y/n stirred, offering a sleepy greeting. "Good morning," she murmured, a faint smile gracing her lips. As she rose, I couldn't help but return her smile. "Let's have breakfast," I suggested, to which she agreed.

"Oppa," she called out, catching my attention. "Thank you," she expressed softly. "No need for thanks. You're part of our family now. You're like a sister to me," I replied, prompting a warm smile from her.

Y/n's POV

I found myself seated next to Jungkook, enjoying breakfast.

"How are you feeling, Y/n?" he inquired. "I'm fine," I replied with a smile, continuing to eat.

"Today, Taehyung and I will accompany you to buy your school uniforms and enroll you in K-POP auditions," Namjoon announced, to which I nodded in appreciation.

"Oppa, when will my underground training begin?" I queried. "Once I wrap up some tasks, we'll start," he assured me.

Later

Taehyung and I assisted each other with bathing and dressing, though his discomfort with certain garments was evident. With a quick apology for my previous behavior, I attempted to make amends, but he simply scoffed and left for downstairs.

Descending to join the others, I reflected on my family and friends, feeling a pang of longing. Unable to contact them without a phone, I resigned myself to temporary separation. However, my impending birthday stirred mixed emotions. Would I celebrate it this year? The uncertainty weighed heavily on my mind.
