Chapter Fourty One

Season Six Episode Six: All Good Things

"Where's Millie?" Lance asked. Millie got to the Bridge, stepping in and asking what she was needed for. "We need to hold off Lotor until Keith gets back. He needs to go back into the quintessence field." Millie nodded, beginning to head for her lion.

"Have you been crying?" Allura asked. Millie nodded but continued on her way. "What's wrong?"

"I'll... I'll explain it to you guys later," she said. "I need to tell Keith, first."

"Accessing the quintessence field has been Lotor's singular drive for a millenia," Allura said as everyone reached their lions. "He wants to harness the power for himself, but we cannot let him. Thankfully, there's only one way into the quintessence field, which would be through the inter-reality gate. We must destroy it."

"I'll continue working on the castle to get it up and running before Lotor arrives," Coran told them. "It'll be slow going without you guys, but I'll get it done."

"Good luck Coran," Allura said.

"We're gonna need all the help we can get," Millie huffed, rolling her eyes as she sent her lion forwards.

Everyone got to the gate, Lance asking one last time if Allura was sure about blowing it up.

"It must be done," Allura said. "It's the only way."

Everyone shot at it, destroying the gate.

"Lotor will be here any second," Pidge said. "What's the plan?"

"Well the castle is down, so no help there," Millie said. "Keith isn't here, so no help there either. The plan is just do what we can, i guess."

"Got it," Pidge said. "Attempt to survive."

"The last time we fought Voltron we had six ships, Lotor had two, and he still kicked our butts," Hunk said. "This time he's gonna have three ships, and we're only gonna have five!"

"I know!" Millie shouted over him. "Just... We need to do what we can. Stressing isn't helping."

"No one's interested in your math right now, Hunk," Lance said, obviously trying to brighten the mood.

Allura asked how the repairs were going, getting a somewhat positive reply. She explained that they might not make it of they didn't have the backup, and Lance announced that they had company.

"Hold you positions," Millie said. "Let Lotor make the first move."

A transmission from Lotor popped up on the screen. "We need not fight today," he said. "We are all on the same side. I know what you all must think of me know that you know my past, but it doesn't have to change our future together. The truth is, i want to harness the power of the quintessence field to better the universe, just like I said. Nothing has changed."

"You enslave countless Alteans!" Allura yelled. "You harnessed their life source for your own personal gain! How many innocent lives did you destroy?"

"Allura, I--"

"How many?!"

There was a silence.

"It's true," Lotor said. "Many Alteans perished in my quest to unlock the mysteries of quintessence, but I protected thousands more and I rescued their culture. Our culture." He continued pleading with everyone. "Allura, you must understand I've given everything I have to plumb the depths of King Alfor's knowledge, to unlock the mysteries of Oriande. Please, Allura, we've come too far together. Surely you van see the greatness we've already accomplished. There's still more to come. Join me. We're on the same side."

"No we're not!" Allura yelled, shooting at Lotor.

"Allura, we agreed to let him make the first move!" Millie shouted.

The comet ships began to try and fire, only to stop halfway through.

"Allura, stop!" Lotor yelled. "You and I hold the ancient knowledge of our Altean culture. We were meant to be together! My feelings for you are true. And I know you have feelings for me as well!"

"You betrayed and used me," Allura growled. "You're more like Zarkon than i could have ever imagined!"

There was silence before Lotor asked about Alfor. "He may have been a master engineer, but Alfor was too weak to defend his home world," he said. "I'm the one who had to step up and save our entire race. Who are you to question my tactics in bringing peace and prosperity to the universe?"

Two of the comet ships shot forwards, beginning to fire at the lions. Allura started moving, Lance yelling at her to stay with the group. They began fighting, Hunk asking Coran if the castle was ready to help defend them.

Millie tried to hit Lotor, getting a second of being clear from fire to predict his path and shoot, just barely grazing him. He shot back at her, and she was about to be hit when the castle flew right in front of her, tanking the hut for her instead.

"Thanks Coran," Millie said.

"You're welcome!" he said. One of the spires hit her lion. "That wasn't intentional."

Millie continued fighting the generals, only for them to pull back and begin flying away. Suddenly they were ejected, and the three ships began glowing and connecting, creating a robot that was essentially Voltron but cooler looking.

"What is that thing?" Pidge asked.

"He created his own Voltron," Lance said.

"That is why he was using me," Allura gasped. "I helped him build it!"

"Well the good news is it's now four on one," Hunk said, trying to lighten the mood.

"This ends now," Lotor growled. He rushed to the lions, his robot incredibly fast, and smacked Lance with his tail before grabbing Hunk's tail and throwing him.

Everyone gave cover fire for Lance and Hunk, but the comet ships were too fast and kept landing hits on them without them being able to land hits on it.

The castle managed to get a shot on Lotor, but Lotor in turn managed to repel the beam, instead shooting at the castle.

"Impossible!" Pidge said. "Lotor's weapon has completely repelled the castle's attack!"

"Less talking more shooting!" Millie said, shooting and landing a hit while Lotor was distracted.

"Coran, shoot it again!" Lance said.

"I can't, that was our last shot!" Coran cried out.

They were practically done for, the lion's all unmoving as Lotor gave his evil villain monologue, only for Keith to appear and run through Lotor before joining everyone.

"How did you get here so fast?" Lance asked.

"I had some help," Keith said. "Now hurry. We don't have much time. Form Voltron!"p
