This AU kinda mixes Countryhumans, Statehumans, and statehouse fandoms.
But like-
States/Countries/Unions/Territories Ya get it- They all have these guardians that are basically them but with a flag for faces-

The guardians protect their assigned person. If the person dies then so do they and vise versa.
But it's also kinda like a high school thing. Where the countries have to teach the state/unions/ governments- to control their guardian.
Because despite them being normally not hostile, they are still dangerous and hard to control.
There aren't really any rankings or anything it's just a random thing I came up with.
I like it tho.
Guardians come in all shapes and sizes. No one is really the same. Not are they always the same gender as the person their protecting. That I think would be pretty uncommon but neat at the same time.
