CHAPTER 48
-----

Come on, kitten. You know it doesn't hurt that bad...

Is this what I taught you? You know exactly what I'm going to do to her if you try to run away from me again, don't you, kitten?

Now be a good girl and don't cry okay? Big girls don't cry... It really hurts me to see you cry kitten...

When you plan to oppose me, just remember that your precious little Jina can always take your place...

Oh my dear Soji, you have no idea what I want to do to that cute little body of yours tonight...

Bear it for me, kitten...

I stood frozen. I couldn't feel any nerve of my body. My eyes refused to blink, drying opened. All my muscles refused to move, no matter how bad I wanted to run out of there. My lungs refused to accept the oxygen I was trying to breathe in, while my mind was torturing me with repeating memories.

It wasn't possible... It couldn't be possible...

"H-he is dead... I saw it... h-he d-died..." I stuttered, not being able to gulp down the huge lump in my throat. My legs were giving up on me. Just the thought of it made me so weak I couldn't hold my body still without supporting myself with the locker door.

The redhead's grave eyes stared at my widened ones, lifting his eyebrow a little. His fingers playing with a strand of my hair before he tucked it behind my ear with a psychotic smirk on his face.

"Did he...?" He whispered, so close to me that our noses were almost touching. "Are you sure about that... kitten?"

I could feel my heart pumping all over my body, so fast and loud I could hear it in my ears. I could no longer regulate my breathing either. Although I tried hard to not listen to him, to not believe any of it. I was petrified, suffering in suffocating panic, while he was confidently standing in front of me, proving with every word that I've spent 4 years in a complete and utter lie.

Sunwoo's every word, those letters' every word, all of it was a proof I blindly refused to uncover. If I only connected the dots in the beginning, I wouldn't have to go through all of this stress and suffering now. I fell in his claws again when I ran away from Taeyong. Now I deserved all of it...

"Remember! You better read all of them Soji. He has instructions you should follow. Unless... you'd rather let Jina take your place tonight- Oh wait!" He chuckled digging in his own memory. "That would be actually you giving her back her place." Sunwoo winked one last time at me and turned around. He walked away from me so carefreely, singing silently some song I didn't care to recognise.
