CHAPTER 18
—————

“You brought what I asked right?” I asked the black haired once I parked the car far enough from the mansion we were about to barge in. In a safe distance, so we wouldn’t be noticed, but near enough so we wouldn’t lose time to get back to the car.

“Everything’s ready, Ji.” Jeno answered and we got out of the car. He put the laptop on the back of the car, he had already hacked the protection system and the CCTVs while we were on our way. He got enough time.

I cracked my neck to each side and gave earpieces to all three of them before I opened the bag, taking out the weapons for each one of us, but in hesitation as I put the sniper in front of the car facing the mansion. “Are you sure you can do this?” I questioned facing the brunette that was supposed to shoot from there and he nodded.

“I'm sure, Soji. It won’t be my first time firing a sniper.” He answered looking through the eye relief bazer, one eye closed as he adjusted the position of the riffle. Once again I was surprised at the calmness of the three, though Renjun and Jeno weren’t in as much danger as Jaemin and I were, I still didn’t expect to see them so chilled out about a mass murder.

“Yeah, but this time you’re killing people.” I warned just in case, but Renjun just turned around to look at me, an eyebrow raised. ‘Do I look like I care’ written on his face and I just nodded. I supposed I could trust them. That’s why I brought them with me, because I trusted them, although they were just amateurs.

Doubtful, I filled the magazine of my handgun and took more bullets with me and a pocket knife in the back of my jeans just in case. Jaemin did the same and we looked at each other as he put the magazine back in the gun and loaded it. I gulped, the fear and realisation that he might be dead by tomorrow because of me sinking in my mind, but I tried my best not to show it.

We nodded at each other and looked at Jeno as I stepped closer to him and the laptop. The high grass around me tickling my legs through every hole of my ripped jeans and it gave me shivers everytime, I felt like someone was actually touching me, but I knew I was just exaggerating knowing that I was about to walk into fire. And I also knew once I step into the yard of that mansion all of the doubt and stage fright would go away and the excitement of killing all those men would fly up to the surface.

“Okay, so we have five guards outside on this side which we will take care of once you two get close enough, there are around ten more men inside the house, out of them two are standing in front of Chansung’s office door where he is at right now. The rest are around the hallways mostly moving, so I will inform you of their every move once I see you walk in the house. The way you explained the situation they might call reinforcement, so that’s why I got this shotgun, just in case.” Jeno explained staring at the footage of the cameras on the insides of the house and the outside. A smile on his face as he ran his fingers across the Ak-47 laying next to the laptop.
