Just The Way You Are

CHAPTER SIXTY SIX - ANGRY

Matthew POV

It's been one week since that night happened. I can never be happier. When she looked at me in those sexy eyes of hers. Nah I didn't hesitate to grab her and take her to my room.

To hell with her being drunk. It's not like I will not take responsibility for what happened. I told her many times since then that I want something more. She just laughed at me. Like I said some kind of joke.

She told me to tell it to the marines since she won't believe me.

How the hell am I supposed to make her believe me?

Right now I am currently in a flower shop picking her favorite flower. I know she still loves red roses since she loves the smell of it.

When the girl finished wrapping the flowers she gave it to me.

"Hope your girl will love the flowers Sir!" She said a s I smiled.

"Thank you!" I said and I walked out.

It's Sunday today and I know it's her day off. I have been thinking since last night about inviting her with our daughter to the zoo. Since Sofia can't stop talking about how she loves animals. The girl has a soft spot for animals.

She said she wants to be a veterinarian so she can heal those sick dogs in the streets. How can such a small girl talk so much like that? She even asked her grandpa to take care of the stray dogs since she felt sorry for them that their owners abandoned them.

Immediately my dad agreed. He is a super whipped Grandpa I swear! If Sofia will wish for him to dance macarena I bet he will do it in a heartbeat. Being a senator keeps him away from us. But ever since Sofia came to our lives he was thinking of settling down and wants to be a normal grandpa.

Just as I arrived at her house. I rang the doorbell but no one answered. So I tried calling her phone but she didn't answer.

Where the hell is she?

I decided to stay and wait for them in my car. Maybe they are both out for groceries.

After thirty minutes of waiting I saw an unfamiliar car park in front of her house next to mine. I frown when Margaret and Sofia step out from it with a familiar guy with them. I know that guy since he's the one who invited Margaret in front of me way back when I was hospitalized.

What the hell are they doing with him?

Just then I witnessed how Sofia was comfortable with him. She giggled when he whispered something in her ears. Making my blood boil on the sights of them getting warm and happy together.

It should be my place instead of that guy. I should be the only one that will make them laugh like that. Not some other unknown guy.

In rage I step out of the car and they both snap their attention to me as I intentionally closed the door forcefully with a bang.

"Where have you been?" I asked Margaret who was raising her brows on me.

Nah It won't work on me this time.  I am absolutely not happy seeing her with another man.

"My daddy!" Sofia squeals and jumps on me. I spread my arms so I can catch her.

"Daddy are you mad?" She said when she observed my sour mood.

"No baby girl!"

"It's time for me to go. Buttercup, see you next time!" That guy Mark said and waved his hand to them.

"Bye uncle Mark and take care!" Sofia said and bit my lips as I wanted to punch that guy. If not for Sofia here I already did it.

We went inside the house and I told Sofia to go to her room cause mommy and daddy will talk. Good thing she didn't ask, she nodded and told me she wants pizza today. I happily said yes since it's also one of my favorites.

When we are finally alone together. She looked at me with a bored look.

"What?" She snapped.

"I waited and called you many times. But you didn't bother to call me back? And then you were with someone?Am I a joke to you? !"

"Who said you're joking here? I didn't check my phone, ok? I am busy!" She answered me.

"Busy laughing with that guy, yeah I see why!" I said.

"What's wrong with you? Yes I am laughing with him? Is it wrong?" She said she didn't do anything wrong.

"Excuse me? It's nothing wrong that you are laughing but it's certainly wrong when some other guy makes you laugh!" I said angrily.

"And it makes you angry? Are you nuts?" She snapped back.

"Nuts? Of course I am angry. You know very well that guy has a thing on you. And you just lead him!"

"Excuse me? I lead him?"

"Yes! You just let him take you and invite you. What do you call that?" I said.

"What's wrong with that? It's not like we have a relationship!" She said that makes me more angry.

"So what happened to us means nothing to you then? How could you!" I said as I slammed my hand on the table.

"You know what you better get out. I don't think it's a good idea talking to you now!" She said while pointing at the door.

"Fine!" I said and I angrily stepped out from her house.

How can she seriously think that what happened between us means nothing? If only she knows how happy I am after what happened.
