George POV.

Dream began asking me some questions as we both continued to sip on our drinks, and I couldn’t help but stare at the exposed part of his face as he adjusted his mask to drink. I told myself that the only reason I was staring was because there had been no photos of Dream’s face and this might be a major part in an investigation towards arresting him.

However I knew that I had to get out of here, so I stood up and gave the blond an apologetic look. “Sorry Dream, but I need to go to the bathroom,” I muttered, before turning and disappearing into the crowd of people before he could say anything or try to stop me.

I wove through groups of people, some chatting drunkenly, some playing card games or on the slot machines, some were making black market deals, and some were even making out or hooking up with strippers and exotic dancers right out in the open as though nobody would care.

This just goes to show that these criminals are all animals. I turned into a hallway that led to a bathroom and heard the sound of a man talking on the phone. I didn’t listen to what he was saying but as he hung up and turned the corner I stepped forward and ‘accidently’ bumped into him, making him drop his phone and the woman who he was standing with to drop her purse.

“Oh my god I am so sorry. I’ve been really clumsy today.” I mumbled apologetically, fumbling to stand up as I made sure to slide the phone that had been dropped on the ground into the left sleeve of my suit jacket so it was pressed against the inside of my hand. The woman’s purse had been opened and all of the contents had fallen to the ground as well, just as I had hoped.

I did the same thing with the blush brush and a container of powder, slipping them both into my pocket where the couple couldn’t see. “Sorry,” I muttered again, averting my gaze and shuffling off before either of them could stop me.

Once I had turned another corner I sprinted down to a row of some bathrooms and locked myself in a unisex bathroom. I pulled the make-up brush and container out of my left sleeve and the phone out of my right sleeve before placing them all on the edge of the sink. I was hoping that I hadn’t been gone for too long and I hoped Dream wasn’t looking for me.

I turned on the phone and it unsurprisingly had a password on. I didn’t want to try guessing it blindly which is why I grabbed the blush and began dusting the phone for fingerprints in an attempt to figure out his password. My plan was to get into his phone, call Karl or one of the other heroes, and tell them everything that was going on.

Before I got the chance to do anything though I was stopped by the sounds of shouting coming from the hallway outside of the bathroom. A couple of moments later there was a pounding on the door to the bathroom accompanied with a loud shout. “This is the police, come out with your hands up or we will break down the door!” Someone yelled.

I sighed and quickly pocketed the phone and the make-up equipment before unlocking the door and opening it. Immediately I was grabbed by a police officer and was pushed against the wall with my hands being handcuffed behind my back. After working alongside the police for years I knew to just let them take me to the station and I’ll be let go sooner or later, it always happens.

Still, the metal handcuffs were cold and uncomfortable and I fought the urge to electrocute the cop, but I knew I couldn’t because he was just doing his job. I was directed out of the hallway and into the main room where there was a loud commotion. A swat team and dozens of police officers were grabbing people left and right, and everyone was running or screaming like crazy.

A lot of the people yelling were making my ears hurt and I tried to cover them but obviously was restricted by the cuffs around my hands. The police officer, who only looked twenty two or twenty three, stopped me from trying to squirm in my cuffs by putting his hand on my shoulder, which was exactly where I was injured and I let out a groan of pain.

However eventually I was brought down to the first floor and outside to where there was a line of police cars and armoured swat vehicles. It seemed that the cops and swat team were putting dangerous criminals; drug dealers, human traffickers, murderers, and worse, into the swat vechiles.

Those who were considered by police to be the less dangerous people, people who weren’t resisting arrest or just so happened to be an unaware member of the casino staff were instead put in the police cars and taken to a police station. Probably to be questioned about what they know about the event that was going on.

After sitting in the back of a police car alone for about five minutes another person was brought over to the cop car and I had to awkwardly shuffle over so he could fit in. He was wearing a white, long sleeved dress shirt and some dark yellow, or possibly green jeans that were held up by suspenders.

He had messy brown hair, bright green eyes (since I knew eyes couldn’t be yellow), and a pair of glasses. The brunette’s clothes were also stained with something slimy, possibly a drug for snorting or something.

He didn’t even bother to look over at me as he was forced down beside me. The door was slammed in his face before he could do or say anything and the man who put him in here sat in the driver's seat in front of us. He started the car and began driving off while me and the other person in the back of the car just watched the chaos still going on at the casino.

Dream POV.

I ran along the casino, rushing between the crowd of people running in different directions like speeding animals while I called out for George. I was hoping I’d find him and we’d both get out of here, but I couldn’t see any sign of him.

The police weren’t anywhere near me yet, but I was cautious as they could be blocking every exit into and out of the place. Plus, there was a possibility that the quartet of heroes could be around somewhere, waiting to find and hunt down any of the big threats of the city they saw, including myself.

Suddenly someone pushed me down as they ran past. My mask was knocked slightly off my face and I let out a growl as I pulled it back on before looking over my shoulders at the person who had pushed me. It was a pudgy businessman who was trying to find a place to hide and my eyes narrowed as I pulled my gun from my holster and quickly shot him in the back of the head.

The man fell forward and I saw blood beginning to pool out of the bullet hole in the back of his head. Unfortunately for me, before I could stay and relish the feeling of satisfaction, I glanced up to see police getting closer to where I was, so I turned and ran into an empty office. Without even thinking twice I grabbed a plant pot from the desk and threw it through the window.

Before cops could reach the room I disappeared into the night, jumping onto the roof of a neighbouring building before jumping onto a balcony facing the front of the casino. I slunk back into the shadows so that anyone who looked up here wouldn’t be able to see me, and watched what was happening.

My eyes widened when I saw some of the cops leading out George in handcuffs and they put him in a cop car. My eyes stayed focused on the car and I made a mental note of its number plate before pulling my phone from my pocket. “Hello Punz,” I greeted when I called him. “I need you to get something that was stolen from me.”
