Steve froze. The Mojang Spiders looked at Steve, then Good Spider, then Gamma on the ground, then back to Steve.

Simultaneously, the Spiders charged. Steve spun around and sprinted to the opening he had made. When he was in front of the opening, he remembered Good Spider, and turned around.

Good Spider was limping towards him. The Spider army was coming up on him like an express train.

Steve started back to Good Spider, but then realized he wouldn't reach him in time. He watched helplessly as the swarm overtook Good Spider, and Good Spider was lost from view.

Steve choked back a sob and jumped out of the opening, placing the two mossy cobblestone back in the hole as he fell.

He didn't realize the jungle temple was on a cliff. He fell through the air.

Steve landed on jungle leaves. The river rushed by below. He looked up at the temple. It was silent. But it probably wasn't silent on the inside.

Steve couldn't believe he had left Good Spider there. He knew he couldn't save him, but still. That was the second pet he had lost in a day. Not that he thought of Good Spider as a pet. Steve had first met him when he was trying to kill him.

But still, Good Spider had seemed to like Steve. Maybe it was when he realized Mojang was Steve's enemy too. Because it seemed like Good Spider hated Mojang. Maybe all monsters that weren't controlled by Mojang hate Mojang because they hate being controlled. Steve could use this.

The sun was high in the sky. It must be noon. Steve slowly got up, feeling the canopy of leaves beneath his feet. He started north again, hopping from tree to tree.

He didn't look back, hoping the Spiders wouldn't find him again.

While walking, he looked through his inventory. The two diamonds were still there, luckily. Then he saw something else in his inventory.

Eddie's diary.

Steve couldn't believe he had forgotten about the diary. He had been too busy running for his life and mourning Porkchops' death. Stopping under a tree that's leaves stretched above the leaves Steve currently was on, he opened the diary.

He flipped to the page he had found what seemed like an eternity ago that said something about Mojang controlling monsters. But something was wrong.

The page was gone.

It was clear that someone had ripped the page out. Beta must've seen the page and realized it was important, and ripped it out. Steve flipped to the entry he had found about Notch and Jean, but that was gone too!

Steve was devastated. This meant Porkchops sacrificed himself for no reason! He couldn't believe it.

Without thinking, Steve threw the diary into the river.

He kept walking, thinking about everything that had happened. All signs pointed to the fact that Mojang was evil. Even regular monsters hated them, judging from the battle in the ravine, and the way Good Spider stared angrily at the blue portal. Steve knew he had to stop them.

He was walking for about two hours. The jungle's humidity was starting to irritate him.

Suddenly, he was at the edge of the jungle. But he was still on top of a tree, and the ground was far below him. He must be in Sector 29 now.

Directly in front of him was a swamp. There were oak trees with vines hanging down into the water.

Even though it was day time, Steve decided to rest on this tree. It was very comfortable, and he hadn't slept in who knows how long.

Steve put his back to some leaves, and slumped to the ground. He was asleep in minutes.

He awoke. It was dark. He slept through the entire day. Then something appeared in front of him. Steve couldn't believe who it was.

It was Porkchops.

Porkchops stared at him with his adorable crossed eyes. He snorted in his cute way.

"P—Porkchops!" Steve exclaimed. He stood and stepped towards him.

But then Beta appeared in front of Steve. Steve stumbled back, surprised. Without a word, Beta took out an arrow and stabbed Porkchops in the heart. Again.

"No!" Steve yelled, and he swung his fist. As soon as he connected with Beta's bony body, they disappeared, and something else appeared in their place.

Good Spider appeared.

"G-Good Spider?" Steve said. He was really confused.

Then Gamma appeared. Without a word, Gamma bit Good Spider's neck, and Good Spider died. Again.

"No!" Steve yelled again. He swung his fist again, and as soon as he hit Gamma, they disappeared. Again.

Steve jolted. He was still sitting against the tree, and it was night time. Steve realized that entire thing was a dream. Or, more like a nightmare.

He shakily got up. That nightmare scared him. A lot. He hated seeing Porkchops and Good Spider die again.

The moon was full. That meant Slimes would be spawning in the swamp.

Then Steve heard a commotion over there. He looked over. He couldn't believe what he saw.

A helicopter was landing on a tiny area of land in the swamp. There was a word on it.

"MOJANG"

Steve hid behind some leaves and watched anxiously.

Two men got out of the helicopter. There were clad in simple leather armor dyed black, so they were really hard to see.

The two men got out some gun-looking things. They shot at a nearby Slime. It spazzed and fell over. One of the men dragged the Slime into the helicopter as the other one continued tranquilizing Slimes.

Steve saw that most Slimes were trying to flee the swamp and the Mojang men, but they were too slow. Soon, the two men collected at least thirty Slimes.

When all the Slimes in that particular area were collected, the two men returned to the helicopter and flew to a farther area in the swamp.

Steve knew what those men would do with the Slimes. They would use whatever technology they had to control the Slimes, put iron helmets on them, and try to control the world. And kill Steve in the process.

By now, that was obvious. Mojang was trying to control all monsters. Steve had to stop that. No matter what it took, he would stop Mojang, and avenge Good Spider and Porkchops.
