Steve woke up. It was morning. Time for the mission.

He got up and opened the door. It's another normal day for everyone who isn't part of the power plant strike team. But for the strike team, it's a very important day.

Steve walked up to the Town Hall, seeing Goley walking around, patrolling the village. Emily and Louis must not be up yet.

Steve entered the Town Hall. Everyone in the strike team was already there, and also Ruby, Lourd, and Manga. Steve sat down with everyone.

"Now that we're all here, it's time to go over what is going to happen," Lourd said.

"We're gonna go destroy the power plant in Sector 20!" Jay exclaimed. Kirai punched him in the arm.

"Yes," Lourd said, annoyed. "This is a simple in and out mission. You get to the top of the power plant, blow it up, then get outta there. Got it?"

"If it's an in and out mission, why do we need nine people?" Todd asked nonchalantly.

"Because," Lourd sighed. "Herobrine is back from the dead, and we have to be extra careful."

Everyone who wasn't there last night gasped. "I thought he was dead?" Cupcake squeaked.

"Yeah, but someone brought him back. We don't know who," Manga replied.

"So yeah, that's why all of you are going. Make sure you watch each other's backs. Got it?" Lourd asked.

"How are we gonna get there?" Steve asked. "It's on the other side of Mojang headquarters."

"That's what I wanted to show you," Lourd said. He pressed a button on the side of his chair.

The ground under the chairs in the Town Hall started rotating. It flipped so that the chairs weren't seen anymore, and something on the other side of the ground was.

It was a sleek, smallish plane. It was completely black, and looked really fast.

"We stole this baby from Mojang!" Jay shouted. "It was all my idea!" Kirai punched him again.

"You nine will be riding in this plane. We call it, the Shark," Lourd said proudly.

"What's a shark?" Lee and Dee asked together.

"I have no idea. But it sounds cool," Lourd admitted.

The Shark was made of black stained clay. It looked like it could hold all nine of them, but it would be kind of cramped.

"Any questions?" Lourd asked. "No? Then go gear up!"

The nine of them went to the armory to prepare for the trip. Jay pulled out a diamond axe and kissed it. Tommy got an enchanted bow and arrows. Godhand collected his arsenal of potions. Lee and Dee both got enchanted iron swords. Kirai got a diamond sword. Todd picked up flint and steel and looked at it curiously. Cupcake pulled out her iron sword. Steve got an iron one also.

There wasn't enough iron armor for everyone to have a full set, so they alternated. Some got an iron helmet and leggings, some got a chestplate and boots. Except for Cupcake, who already had a full set of chainmail armor.

Steve didn't get iron armor either. He used the nine diamonds he had collected to make a diamond helmet and boots.

Then Jay got out a bunch of TNT and a flint and steel. He rubbed his hands together maliciously.

They were ready.

The nine of them walked towards the center of Creektown. They looked pretty awesome, like people getting ready to go to space. It seemed like they were walking in slow motion.

Anyway, they entered the Town Hall again. Lourd, Manga, and Ruby waited by the Shark. One by one, Lourd shook their hands as they climbed into the Shark. Jay entered first, because he was going to fly it.

When everyone had entered except Steve, Lourd stepped up to him. "Make us proud, boss," he said, saluting. Steve saluted back and smiled. "I will. I'll protect them all, too. I promise." Lourd nodded.

Manga just nodded and smiled to Steve, who did the same back. Then it was Ruby's turn.

"You'll come back safe, won't you?" she croaked, as if she were about to cry.

"Of course I will. It's just a power plant," Steve reassured her.

"I know, it's just...I have this feeling that something is gonna go wrong," Ruby said.

"Don't worry. It won't," Steve replied.

"I--" Ruby started, but Steve shut her up by kissing her on the lips. Again, he felt that spark of hope, like he could do anything.

When they pulled apart, Ruby said, "I love you."

"I love you too," Steve responded, and he climbed into the ship.

Todd was cracking up near the entrance. He must've been listening to the conversation.

"Oh shut up," Steve said, pushing him aside as he walked past.

"I can't help it. That was just so cheesy!" Todd laughed.

"Listen 'buddy'," Steve said intensely, turning around and jabbing a finger to Todd's iron chestplate. "The only reason you're here is because I know you're a spy for Mojang. And I needed to make sure you didn't hurt anybody while we were gone, so I brought you along. Got it?"

Todd had both eyebrows raised. He looked a little afraid. Even so, he said, "I told you, I'm not a spy. Jeez, man." He pushed Steve away and walked into a different room.

Steve glowered and muttered something under his breath. Then he looked around.

He was in a hallway. There were three doors on either side of it. Todd had retreated into the second door on the right. There was another exit on the other side of the hallway.

Steve walked down the hallway and looked into the doors. The first door on the left was a storage room, the first on the right was a bedroom with four bunk beds, eight small beds. The second door on the left was the cockpit, where Jay sat, readying the Shark for lift off. The second on the right was a sitting room. Everyone except Jay was in there.

The third door on the left seemed to be some sort of engine room, and the third door on the right was the food room. Steve walked into the cockpit.

He sat down in the copilot's chair. There was a bunch of confusing buttons and levers on the dashboard. "Ready to go?" Steve asked Jay.

Jay looked at him and smiled. "I was born ready."

The roof of the Town Hall parted so there was enough room for the Shark to fly out. Jay pressed a button and the plane rose out. Steve saw Ruby, Lourd, and Manga waving to them.

And then the Shark flew off.

The mission had started.
