Jean's Point of View (in case you haven't figured it out yet, I do one of these every 8 chapters)

Jean sat in her office. She was rereading Beta's report on the Nether incident. She couldn't believe Steve had evaded them again, and destroyed the small base down there.

Now the Skeleton, Spider, and Slime troops were all dead. Except for the commanders of each unit.

At the moment, all of monster catching crews were out in the Sectors somewhere, collecting more Skeletons, Slimes, and Spiders. They had to have enough for the attack that would be taking place in a couple of days.

It was one day after the urgent meeting with Notch. Since then, Notch had been up on the roof almost all day. Jean didn't know what he was doing, but she didn't think it was her business to find out.

The sun was setting outside. It gave her office a pink glow.

Suddenly, there was a knock on her door. Jean looked at it. She didn't have any appointments at this time. Who could this be?

She opened the door. She looked around. No one was there.

"Down here," a shaky voice said.

Jean looked down. Epsilon and Zeta were sitting there, looking up at her. Epsilon, the Silverfish with the gold helmet, was the one who had spoken. Then Zeta, the Cave Spider, spoke.

"May we come in?" his voice, that sounded almost sticky, asked.

"You do not have an appointment," Jean replied curtly.

Epsilon and Zeta slithered and crawled around her legs and into the office anyway. They made themselves comfortable.

"So, Jean, we have a few questions to ask you," Epsilon said.

"Yes, when will we get to attack Steve?" Zeta asked in his sticky voice.

Jean sighed and sat across from the little devils. "That is up to Notch, not me," she answered.

"But you seem to be supervising every attack, hmm?" Epsilon purred in his shaky voice.

"Yes, after Notch tells me what to do," Jean replied wearily.

"Well, perhaps you can make a little exception, just for us?" Zeta suggested.

"No," Jean responded curtly.

"Don't make us have to hurt you," Epsilon said.

"First of all, Notch says your units work better underground. And so far, the Resistance headquarters has been aboveground in Creektown, a town in Sector 29. And second of all, I doubt you two could hurt me," Jean ranted.

Epsilon and Zeta exchanged a look. Then Zeta spoke. "Well...you're right, we wouldn't be able to hurt you. So we better get going."

Epsilon slithered, and Zeta crawled out the door. Jean sighed. Those two were up to something. She better keep an eye on the security cameras.

Her Minetablet buzzed. It was Jeb. He was asking where Steve was right now.

Jean pondered answering, but only for a moment. If the bounty hunters could kill Steve, the Resistance would be much easier to destroy.

"He is in Creektown, in Sector 29. Feel free to eliminate anyone who tries to stop you from killing Steve." Jean messaged back.

A minute passed, then Jeb replied, saying "Excellent. I will send all my best bounty hunters after him."

Jean smiled. Steve was as good as dead.

The sun had finished setting, and it was dark out now. Jean decided to go check on Notch, who was still on the roof.

She left her office and went to the elevator. Her office was on floor 99, right below Notch's. The elevator came, and it arrived on the roof shortly.

The doors opened to reveal the huge roof of Mojang Headquarters. It was basically just black stained clay with iron bars on the edges, with almost nothing in the middle.

Until right now.

There was a huge, half-finished End portal right in the middle of the roof. None of the pieces had been activated yet, but they easily could be, since they had plenty Eyes of Ender.

On one of the not finished sides, Notch was working. He had a large amount of materials next to him. He seemed to be crafting something.

"Sir?" Jean stepped out of the elevator and stride towards him.

He looked up, and surprisingly he looked cheerful again. Oh how people could change in a day.

"Jean!" Notch called happily. "I've been meaning to show you this!"

Jean reached his side. "What exactly is this?" she asked.

"Well, it's an End portal, silly!" Notch's enthusiasm sounded almost maniacal, as if he hadn't stopped working for 24 hours. Which was true.

"Yes, but why do we need one up here?" Jean asked impatiently.

"Because--" Notch was cut off by a loud rumbling.

Dark clouds appeared in the sky above them. Which was strange, since it was night time. Lightning flashed. The wind picked up. But no rain came.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck the roof of the building, and when the blinding light receded, a figure stood there, looking down at the ground.

It couldn't be.

Steve?

But then the figure looked up, and Jean knew it was not Steve.

It was Herobrine.

He had the exact same everything as Steve, except one thing.

He had glowing white eyes.

Herobrine teleported over to Notch and grabbed him by the collar.

"Where?" Herobrine asked in a terrifying voice. "Where is it?!"

"Where is what?" Notch asked innocently. He had beads of sweat dripping down his forehead.

Herobrine teleported to the edge of the roof with Notch in his hand still. He held him over the edge.

"WHERE IS MY SWORD?!" Herobrine asked again.

Jean knew she had to do something. She fumbled with her gun and aimed.

"I don't know what you are talking about," Notch replied nervously.

"YOU--"

He was cut off by a bang. Jean had shot him in the head. She could see the hole the bullet left.

She was about to say something triumphantly when the hole started to close and heal itself.

Herobrine turned to look at Jean, then teleported away. The storm disappeared as fast as it started. Jean didn't see the legend anymore.

But she did see Notch fall off the building.

She gasped and ran over to the edge. She couldn't find Notch anywhere. Then an Ender pearl shattered on the ground next to her, and Notch appeared, looking only slightly ruffled.

"Well," he said shakily. "I'll be going down to my office now." He started walking towards the elevator.

"Wait Notch," Jean said. "You never got to answer me before. Why do we need an End portal up here?"

Notch looked up at her. "Because," His eyes glistened as he answered.

"I am going to control the Ender Dragon."
