Chapter 60

Yoongi POV:

"Are we almost there?" I couldn't help but laugh at the excitement in Noah's voice as he bounced up and down in the seat next to me. His tiny face turned to me and his grey fuzzy ears twitched in curiosity.

"Almost buddy. Only about ten more minutes." Jin's voice was patient from the driver's seat and when I caught his eye in the mirror, he gave me a grin.

After breakfast, we had gotten ready to take Noah to the amusement park, wanting to give him the same experiences that all kids should have, things he had missed out on for way too long. While Y/N combed his hair and helped him with his shoes, he must have asked her a hundred questions about the place we were going and I couldn't help but smile as she had answered them all patiently, no signs of irritation in her voice at all, just kindness and gentleness. When he was ready, he threw his arms around her neck, reveling in the easy affection she gave to all of us.

When it was time to go, we had gotten into two separate cars and I had laughed at the way everyone wanted to ride with our sweet human mate. It had ended up being Jin, Hoseok, Noah and me with Y/N, while Namjoon went with the youngest three. Their pouts were adorable and Y/N promised to ride with them on the way back, making them bounce around in happiness. Seeing Jimin want to be so close to her was definitely a change from the way he had been in the beginning and I was happy that things had worked out for them, for all of us.

Pulling up my phone, I searched up the place we were going and showed it to Noah. "What do you think you want to try first?"

Noah studied the images, eyes wide. "I get to go on these?"

Jin nodded. "Sure do. There's a couple you might not be tall enough for yet, but don't worry. We will definitely come here again."

"What about this one?" Noah pointed at the carousel, the brightly colored animals drawing his attention.

"I like the idea of that one." I nodded in agreement then flipped to the next image. "How about this Ferris wheel? It will take us up high and we can see the views of the city."

"Yes!" I could hear the excitement in Noah's voice and it made me laugh, knowing he was this excited about spending time with us, about getting to see all of this.

"What do you think Y/N?" I looked past Noah to my female mate. "You want to ride the Ferris wheel?"

From the indulgent smile on Y/N's face, I could tell she was willing to do anything we asked of her, give us all the best experience of our lives. "Of course. I love all the rides there. I remember riding most of them with Jin." There was a misty look in her eyes and I knew she was thinking about her parents.

"It's okay little mate. We're going to make some new memories with you." I gave her a reassuring smile, one she returned and it made the sadness in her eyes dissipate just a bit and I knew she was going to be okay.

The ride to the amusement park was quick and sooner than I expected we were pulling into the massive parking lot. From the lot, I could see the giant Ferris wheel towering over the park and I couldn't help but feel a little twinge of fear. I would never admit it to my mates, but I was afraid of heights. It was something that I had carried with me ever since I was set to the circus. Too many times I was hoisted to the top of the tent and made to jump into a small pool of water surrounded by flames. So even the idea of being that high up in the air again made me nervous.

Trying to push that thought from my mind, I focused on Noah instead. The excitement was dancing in his eyes and I could feel my own nervous feelings start to dissipate, letting his happiness flow over me and fill in the troubled spaces. After Jin parked the car, I climbed out, followed by Hoseok, who reached out for my hand. I could instantly tell from his sweaty palms that he was feeling the same things I was and it made me feel a little better to know that I wasn't alone in the feelings.
