chapter 75- text to speech

"alright, chat. you heard the woman. ask away!" i say after aubrey decides on doing a q&a stream. "ask questions using the text to speech."

when did you guys start dating?

"we started officially dating three weeks ago," i answer. "but i was in love with her for much longer."

aubrey smiles as her face tints pink, and she nods.

"i liked wilbur for a while, too," she adds. "but past relationship crap got in the way of me realizing it."

who said "i love you" first?

"wilbur did," aubrey answers quickly. "i said it right after him, though."

"but you fell in love with me WAY after i fell in love with you." i fix my hair as i re-tell the story i never thought i'd tell anyone. "i was in love with her since day one, chat. as cringey and embarrassing as this is, it was love at first sight for me. literally since our first mcc, remember how long ago that was? "

aubrey smiles and looks down.

"i was in a relationship at the time i met wilbur. so i didn't fall in love at first sight or anything like that. but i always felt a special connection with him. i think that was the universe trying to tell me something. but i don't know." she shrugs as we wait for the next question.

first kiss story?

"i'm answering this one," i say quickly. aubrey nods and pushes her hand forward, as if saying "get on with it, then."

"we spent the day together, and it was a ton of fun. then i drove her back to her apartment, and as soon as i was about to leave, she said she liked me. for the record, i said 'i love you' first, but she said 'i like you' first. but anyway! i was being slow and an idiot and... not taking any hints." i let out a gentle laugh as i scratch the back of my head awkwardly. "so she grabbed my face and kissed me. i vividly remember celebrating in my car right after."

"you did?" aubrey asks with a big grin, looking my way. i nod triumphantly and she laughs. "i did too, if we're being honest."

"what'd you do?"

"blasted random love songs and had a karaoke session for... i admittedly don't know how long."

the text to speech doesn't ask any questions for a while.

"we've told our first kiss story," aubrey says suddenly. "can we tell our second kiss? it's also the first 'i love you' and first date. and i really love the story."

"sure. you tell this one, though. i already told the first kiss," i state.

"alright! so it started one day when wilbur asked to take me on a date. i, of course, said yes. i vividly remember him bringing me flowers, they're still on a coffee table in my house. i've been watering them every day. anyway, we went to alton towers and i forced wilbur to ride the smiler twice. he hated it."

"i didn't HATE it."

"the pictures say otherwise."

my lips form into a straight line and i nod.

"just continue the story..."

"sure! after that we went to dinner. we had changed into really nice formal wear, like stuff you'd see people wear at prom. so i was thinking 'shit, this must be really fancy and expensive, i'm kinda nervous.' then guess where he takes me?"

aubrey pauses a moment.

"TACO BELL!" she announces in a distraught tone. "we were dressed like royalty and went to eat at TACO BELL."

"fine dining, baby!" i interrupt with a laugh.

"it WAS fine dining. and it ended up being pretty funny," aubrey admits. "then before we go home, i took wilbur to a place that is very special to me. it was great, but then it started to RAIN! what are the odds? so we are going to run to the car, but then i convince wilbur to dance in an empty street with me."

"she has me wrapped around her finger, in case you can't tell," i say. aubrey beams and rolls her eyes.

"i'll be holding that against you from now on. anyway, when we were dancing, he randomly said he loved me, i said i loved him, and we kissed. straight out of a wattpad story, am i right?"

i nod as the chat erupts into happiness.

if my relationship isn't like this i don't want it

aubrey and i continue to answer various questions about our relationship until our stomachs are growling abnormally loud. we give each other knowing looks, silently saying "wrap up the stream i'm starving."

we say goodbye to the chat and leave to eat dinner around 8 pm.

(A/N this chapter is so short and boring/just a recap i'm so sorry. but there are only a couple more chapters until the end!! :( i'm not positive exactly how many because i REFUSE to stress myself out and give an actual number HAHA. this chapter, along with the next few, will sorta be filler/lead up for the ending. i'm not giving any spoilers, but i'm very nervous lolzzzzz :') anyway i love you SOOOO much and i hope your day is going well!! <3)
