Your breaths are ragged as you run blindly down a dark ally. It was nearly midnight when your left your boyfriends, Steve Rogers, house to walk home. He had offered you a ride on his motorcycle, and boy you wish you'd accepted.

Heavy footsteps pounded the pavement behind you. Of course you knew how to defend yourself, but this man is a HYDRA agent. A HYDRA agent with a very strong right hook. The large bruise on your cheek showed that he'd gotten a few swings before you could get away.

Staggering to a stop, you slam your fists onto the end of the ally's wall and turn around to face your attack. His footsteps slowed, making your heart leap to your throat. You quickly dig into your pocket to call Steve, when a bullet pierces the wall next to your head. Bits of brick slice your cheek and forehead. You gasp and crumple to the ground, shakily touching your now bleeding and bruised face.

"What do you want from me?" You hiss, pressing yourself against the brick wall.

The man stays in the shadows, only the gun visible. "Your phone,"

You cough out a laugh, "You did all that for some lousy flip phone?"

He holds up the gun, "Call Steve Rogers or I will shoot you in the head,"

"You won't shoot me, you need me-"

He fires the gun and the bullet hits your shoulder. You scream at the pain and wilt away from him.

"Now, I think you have a phone call to make."

With your vision swimming, it takes you a moment to pull out your phone. Not to mention the blood beginning to dribble down from the wound. When you dial Steve's number, the man steps forward and snatches it the phone out of your grasp.

"Hey, (Y/n). Make it home okay?" Steve says over the speakerphone, the man holding it close to your face.

"Hello, Mr. Rogers. I believe I have someone here you know?" The man narrows his eyes at you to speak, but you seal your mouth shut.

"What? (Y/n)!"

The man doesn't give you any patience as he presses a finger onto your shoulder. You try to bite back the scream, but it pushed past your teeth and echoed off the ally walls.

"Steve," You whimper, tears rolling down your cheeks. Your shoulder began to throb painfully. "I-I'm fine-"

"Do not be deceived, Mr. Rogers. (Y/n) may be fine at the moment, but she will bleed out in the matter of hours if the wound is untreated. I will send you an address. You are to meet me alone. Tell anyone about his? Your friend is as good as dead,"

Before Steve could answer, the man snapped the phone shut and crunched it under his boot. Your breath catches as he crouches down to your level, trailing a finger along your cheek bone.

"Sometimes my job isn't easy, killing pretty things like you." He says. For a split second you think he's going to let you go, but a malicious smile pulls at his lips. "But the money's worth it." He swings back his arm and lands a punch to your mouth, knocking you out when your head slams into the wall behind you.
