Warmest welcome

It's been years since I left home.

Venture abroad and roam.

I was alone in a foreign land.

I was out of place, something I didn't planned.

Later on, I finally adjusted.

Found people that can be trusted.

They thought me to live, to blend.

They became my good friends.

While I was walking down the alley,

I realized something inside me was not happy.

There's a hole I couldn't fill

Homesick, Loneliness. That's what I feel.

I thought it will be easy,

but everything around me feels uneasy.

Five years later, I decided to comeback.

As I set foot to my homeland, some memories flash back.

I remember, I left without saying a word.

Left everyone unaware, I know it was absurd.

I just don't want goodbyes.

I just abruptly cut ties.

I wonder how everyone's doing?
Will I restore the connection I ruined?

All my questions were answered when I reached the house.

Everyone was shocked and surprised.

I suppressed a smile and said "Hi!"

They came rushing and hug me tight.

I felt their warmth I've been longing

Feeling I've been yearning.

There, a hole was filled.

It seems their warmest welcome is all I need.
