monday had come, to everyone's dismay. it was early, and soobin getting ready for school had woken beomgyu up, even though soobin was doing his best to be quiet.
beomgyu sat up groggily in his bed, eyes flashing around his slowly brightening room, trying to take in his surroundings and gather where he was. his eyes found his closed door, debating with himself.
(i love listening to kpop & then switching to my heavy metal/ screamo😻)
he stood up and made his way to his door, hand hovering over the knob as he debated on opening it.
it wasn't like he was scared of soobin seeing him, as he had lived with the boy for at least a year, and had obviously ventured out of his room over the last two days.
beomgyu opened the door and wandered down the steps, yawning as the tips of his fingers rubbed the grogginess from his sleepy eyes.
he was met with soobin in the kitchen, watching as the older put together a sandwich and slid it into a plastic baggy. beomgyu smiled faintly, noticing how soobin started putting together another sandwich; presumably for kai.
"simp." beomgyu giggled, his true laugh coming out at the sight of how big soobin had jumped. soobin whipped his head around with widened eyes, jaw slightly opened as he registered the situation. he soon relaxed as beomgyu laughed and made his way over to the older, hooking his arm through soobin's as he leaned against him.
soobin smiled, as that was the most contact the pair had shared really since right before yeonjun's party. he was proud of beomgyu for going against his comfort zone to come out and hug soobin.
while no one except soobin and beomgyu were at the house, beomgyu had occasionally left his room and joined soobin on the couch, or in the kitchen. never for too long though, as he didn't want to overdo it and become drained.
"you scared the hell out of me." soobin grumbled, always becoming defensive when he was scared. taehyun was good for always trying to scare soobin, and somehow the older got scared ever single time.
"making a sandwich for ning?" beomgyu asked, still holding loosely to soobin's arm as he worked. soobin nodded, packing up the sandwich and sliding it into an identical clear bag.
"have a good day soobinnie, love you. say hi to yeonjun for me." beomgyu said sweetly, shocking both himself and soobin at his last sentence.
"i love you too gyu. are you gonna be okay alone all day? do you want me to get you yeonjun's number since he won't text you?" soobin asked, concern spiking at the thought of a not-so-happy beomgyu being left alone the entire day.
"i'll be okay soo. and you don't have to, i don't want to be a burden to him." beomgyu said nonchalantly, hugging the older as a way to signal that he was almost done with their conversation. soobin sighed, hugging him back before releasing him to watch beomgyu begin to walk away.
"i'm sure you're not a burden to him. i'll tell him you were thinking of him." soobin teased, watching as beomgyu's figure stopped and snapped back, a bewildered expression on his face.
"don't word it like that." he deadpanned, and soobin couldn't help but giggle.
"yeah yeah, bye gyu." soobin chuckled, laughing as beomgyu sassily made his way back up the stairs, leaving soobin to walk to school alone.

yeonjun was sat in his homeroom, the one he shared with soobin and beomgyu, anxiously bouncing his foot.
he wanted to see beomgyu, but the pair had not arrived yet. yeonjun did come a bit early, in hopes that he could see beomgyu for a few extra minutes due to his lack of him over the weekend. he was still sad at the fact that beomgyu had left on friday without a word, but yeonjun now knew it was not his fault.
